I stayed in the Shelly cabins at this precinct. It was incredibly clean compared to my previous experiences in camp cabins, with fully fitted air conditioning, seperate showers and bathrooms as well as a TV and timber floors. The doors all had safe locks on them and overall a great experience!

Had a great long weekend with a group of fellow crafters. Facilities and food are top notch. Not that I have a disability but the whole venue is beautifully suited to wheelchair access. Spent a lovely time watching 3 seven day old Plover chicks scamper around the buildings under the watchful eye of their parents. Nothing beats going to sleep each night to the sound of the ocean.

Avoid Kings Accommodation

We booked three rooms here for a family holiday as about $150/night during the peak Christmas period.

We stayed here as multiple family groups in the Kings accommodation blocks. We were all very disappointed with the rooms after seeing the Shelly Room photo of the lounge room on the website.

No expense has been spared for these rooms. The rooms are unpainted besser block giving it a prison like feel. There is one air-conditioner in each bedroom that is preset to 24C - it can only be turned on and off. There are not fans. There are no lounge chairs and only hard plastic chairs to sit on with a folding plastic table.

It was very difficult for the adults to sleep. The very large windows have no curtains so the bedrooms are very bright at night time. All of the mattresses are plastic coated so are very noisy and squeaky when moving in bed.

There's no mats on the door so it is impossible to not track in sand. The floors was not moped and it is only cleaned by the previous occupant. We got linen included which is sheets, a NSW Health blanked and a very thin towel. No pillow was supplied but a thin, cheap pillows were provided on request.

I would recommend trying to get a room overlooking the bushland rather than the transit zone.

The swimming pool is an additional $5.20 per person per day.

On the plus side it is in a convenient location in Curramundi and there is boardwalk access to the beach.

If you treat it like an Indoor camping location and bring your own linen, pillows, towels, camping chairs and air mattresses plus wear sleeping mask or how sheets to cover the windows - it is cheap sunshine coast accommodation during the Christmas school holidays.

I attended my Year 10 camp here with Harristown State High School. I had only transferred to Harristown from Charleville in January.
