I'm really surprised from the negative feedback for this hotel. We stayed in this hotel from 24 December till 2nd of January. This is supposed to be a serviced apartments not a hotel, which means that you need to clean after your self with limited cleaning from the hotel. The apartment that we got was clean, may be old but clean with clean fridge, stove & bathroom. There is a bbq facility & swimming pool which is excellent for the kids. It's very close to the beach & shops. Where you can find a place near the beach in surfers paradise that can accomodate a family with a bonus bbq , swimming pool, free parking & laundry facilities with this price!! Best value for money ever. ||Thank you Karen (the manager ) for your great hospitality. ||||Noha and family

I stayed here for a friends 20th birthday weekend and have no idea what else to do but warn others from staying. Admittedly we were drinking and had people over but were unfortunate enough to be booked directly above the managers house for the entire weekend.||||Let's start with the manager. I seriously do not care how many times she reads what I am about to say, but I have never seen a more unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate b***h. There was no music playing but apparently loud talking at 7pm warrants swearing and kicking out our guests. With all due respect, do not place us directly above you and your dogs for the entire weekend if you can not handle noise and high heels above you. We were constantly being yelled and sworn at for 'slamming' the door which rested in the most shrabby, rusted doorway. A quick trip to bunnings with $3 could purchase the solution rather than printing shrabby signs telling tenants not to 'slam' doors as if it was purposeful each time.||||There were dead bugs, dirt and mould everywhere and we found a syringe in the kitchen. There was no point mentioning this since our only conversations with the manager were her going off her head. The shower was rusted and most of the water went the other way and all over the toilet - could have had a better shower sitting ON the toilet. ||||When we asked for more toilet paper, which was in the middle of one of the managers rants, we were told we would have to go down to the laundry and get it ourselves. When we tried to apologize for whatever noise we did make, we were met with a "clearly I don't tolerate it" rather than something more professional and polite. On the second night we were also told at 9:50pm to get out from the manager screaming from the bottom floor to our balcony (apparently walking up one flight of stairs to professionally tell us is too difficult), which I responded saying "we will leave soon when ready". Admittedly I was also fed up with her attitude since we were paying customers and deserved professionalism and a safer room which actually met health and safety standards. She then responded with "no you will get out now". ||||Honestly there is no point paying for an overpriced room when you're just going to get told to get out each night of your stay. You're better off elsewhere.||

Manager was the rudest lady I've ever met in a hotel business. I've been to a lot of hotels but you'd think they would clean the room before your stay. Instead they rely on the previous tenants to clean the dishes and vacuum the place which was clearly not done and the odor of cigarettes was foul. This place needs to be shut down

Big L shaped couch to relax over looking large skyscrapers. Comfy large beds (double). Massive mirrors in each room. Good size bathroom with bath/shower. Long balcony. Service was lovely! Very helpful and welcoming - definitely recommended.

Absolutely disgusting. Do not stay here.||||From the get go this place was dirty and cheap. (contents, not price!)||Small, dingy, unkempt, not pleasant.||Let me make a list for you:||||Lounge room:||- No air conditioning, (in surfers paradise!?) small wall mounted fan in lounge room - DID NOT WORK.||- Balcony chairs were completely worn out, one had a bent leg and wasn't realised until someone sat on it and fell.||- Door onto balcony was VERY hard to open or close and did not lock at all.||- Balcony railing was worryingly low.||||'Cleaning Cupboard' (Cupboard full of random bits of wood and dust)||- Vacuum cleaner was visibly snapped in half, the owner either has not checked on it in years or does not care. We could not vacuum the whole time we were there.||- There was no mop provided in the 'cleaning' cupboard||||Kitchen:||- There was food still on plates and the spatula||- Electric kettle didn't work. ||- No scissors provided.||- Oven handle was missing, used the oven once as a result, door heated up and was very hard to open or close.||- The dining table was broken, the top of it just sitting on the bent legs which often folded and collapsed in on themselves. We couldn't use it as a result.||||Bedrooms:||- Main bedroom canvas fell off wall in the middle of the night, as well as the nail that was keeping it in the wall.||- Apart from the crap, springy beds shoved side by side in the second bedroom, we were provided with a fold out that looked like it was picked up from salvos rubbish bins. The whole thing was bent and one of the legs bent to the point it would collapse if anyone tried to use it.||- Fan in second bedroom ridiculously hard to turn on or off, 1 in every 100 clicks on the remote worked.||- Mirror in second bedroom was damaged beyond use, possibly smoke damage.||||Bathroom:||- Water came out of the ceiling above the shower, seriously, heaps of it, I thought the ceiling was going to collapse on me.||- More water came out of the faucet where the shower head was attached, rather than coming out of the actual shower head.||- The bathroom was ridiculously hot and moist the whole time, no ventilation, if you opened the window, people could see directly in/watch you shower/on the toilet or even break in, no fly screen or any kind of security measures, not even a privacy screen. ||||Ontop of all that, the other occupants of Sunset Court (Permanent residents, not holidayers) were ridiculously rude, they constantly stared, at us and into our apartment, to the point where I felt more comfortable not using the balcony and drawing all the curtains shut.||All they did was sit on their balconies (which all face each other) and yell loudly, stare, drink beer and wear tops that didn't cover their protruding bellies.||The car park was full of rubbish, broken couches and twisted metal.||The pool was also cloudy.||||A place has to be pretty bad for me to even consider complaining and warding others off. This place is 10x worse than that.||Do not even consider this dump. Almost ruined our holiday.

I don't even know where to start, ||These rooms are filthy. ||There were stains everywhere and mould in the shower, I felt dirty showering and had to wear thongs. ||There were huge stains of I don't even know what under the couches and shower tap handles not even attached falling off every time you used them. ||The permanent residents did nothing but stare and made you feel uncomfortable. ||The lights and fans stopped working after one day of staying here and the service from management was poor. They made us mop the floors which is not usually what happens when you stay at a hotel. ||Don't even stay here and don't waste your money.

We stayed here over 2 nights and were completly appalled at the state of the room there was marks all over the wall there were stains on the couch, mould in the shower, poo stains in the toilet and the room stunk of stale smoke after speeking to reception about it they moved us to another room And the only thing better about that room was that it did not smell and thankfully there were clean sheets on the bed how ever the towels were a bit gritty. It is true that it is very close to the main area in surfers and cheap but it is still to expensive for what it is. So my advice is spend a little bit more and find some where that is a bit more livable than this .
