We spent three nights over the new year and really appreciated the peaceful, friendly vibes at Sunlodge. The amenities were top notch with a clean and spacious ensuite at each site. The clean outdoor camp kitchen was well appointed. And we made the most of the refreshing and well-maintained pool on a couple of those steamy Queensland days. The gardens are manicured, and the laundry was a welcome bonus after a week on the road. Thanks to Tanya and Darren, the loveliest hosts (even when I locked our key in the ensuite!!!). Will highly recommend Sunlodge to everyone.

You really know you have enjoyed a place when you get to the end of your stay and the question is asked “Do we really have to leave?”.
This lovely little park is old style with each site having its own amenities block. These are dated but very clean. Our site (5) was next to the camp kitchen but this was no issue at all. It it looked well equipped and was kept very clean.
On arrival we discovered we were also parked next to the pool pump which was operating at the time but a quick call to the owner assured us that it would turn off at 4pm, which it did.
Our hosts Darren and Vicky were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge suggestions when asked.
We were booked for 4 nights but wished it was longer. Would definitely stay again.

Tiny campground, dated but very clean. Felt very safe, lovely staff.|Good facilities. Right by the Esplanade drive. Close to everything.|Nice people onsite, roos close by!. Ensuites a bonus. Washing facilities great. Staff very friendly|

In short, the location is excellent, public boat ramp is near-by, and this is pretty much all that is good about it.

Used to stay there for 2 nights several years ago while on long weekend vacation. Back then, the experience was "well above average". Now the new owners apparently do not care about the customer service: could not even take the booking correctly!

Communal kitchen is dirty, has roach infestation, no hot water in the tap. Seems to be treated as a "zero maintenance property". The sea-water pool is filthy (admittedly, did not risk it, just gave a glance).

Positively not recommended for an overnight/two nights stay, especially with a tent or a camper van. If living in a larger camper for a week or two, may be Ok-ish if your standards are on the low side of the spectrum. The cabins are not recommended as the site is too crowded and poorly maintained.

Not coming back.

What a fabulous hidden gem!! I took 5 children to Sunlodge last weekend and we ALL thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Firstly, the owners were sooo friendly, helpful and welcoming from booking to offering to help everyone with their camp set-ups. The sites had individual ensuites, a real luxury! The pool was beautifully clean and the kitchen too which had the best bbq. The location was fantastic in that we were a short walk to either parts of the beautiful Point Vernon esplanade and rock pools. The kids absolutely loved participating in the Lorikeet feeding done daily too so highly recommend this lovely little park. Thankyou so much Darren and Tania for a great weekend!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Loved my stay here! The Managers and staff are welcoming, very friendly and most helpful! Clean facilities, a swimming pool and cabana with a well equipped kitchenette available to use. Your own ensuite toilet and shower is included with your powered site! Very good value for money. Pets are welcome as well!

Great little caravan park. Small park with each site having its own ensuite. Ensuites are clean and tidy as with the rest of the grounds. Very quite part of the world, not far from everything you need in Hervey Bay. Not far to the water either. The office isn't open every day. However, when you arrive, there is an envelope at the office with your ensuite key and site map inside. We had site 7, which was easy to reverse our larger van. Would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a quiet spot.
