We loved this resort. Big apartment with the rooms far back down a hall from the lounge, nice and quiet with teenagers! Place was super clean, well sound proofed. Right by the beach with balcony looking at the ocean.
Has a great pool and bbq area and then inside a massive spa which was the perfect temp (I’m a spa fan and it was amazing!)
Close to shops, has secure underground parking. Manager was super nice and helpful (Michelle). Will come back
That indoor spa (in photos) would be amazing in winter!

We had a longer stay and were very happy with our unit. The owners had put in a lot of personal touches and it was spacious and comfortable. We had restricted views of the beach. ||We did visit another unit in the letting pool lower down and were grateful we were not given it. It was very closed in.....||Our reservations for this property is the pool areas are not well maintained or very attractive. While we were there I don't think the indoor pool area was cleaned at all and there was certainly evidence of long term grime? It would seem the management are not on top of the maintenance?||Staff were helpful but not engaging. YMMV

We booked Room 5D for 2 nights but only endured 1. On entering the room the smell of wet dog greeted us. I later discovered this was caused by the condensation from the A/C dripping on to the fabric lounge which looked like it had been dragged in from the tip.
The unit was dirty with food smears in the fridge and microwave.
The carpet felt grubby under foot and the hard surfaces had only been introduced to the "cleaning" cloth, but no contact made.
Frosted glass almost had better visibility than the windows.
The locking device from one of the external doors had been removed and left on the coffee table. Maybe it was left for me to fix it.
When I informed them, we were leaving, there was no apology or offer for a refund. They asked me if I would like room service to attend. I declined on the basis that I didn't have a week it would take to rectify.
Recommendation. Sack the cleaner and sack the person who supervises the cleaning.
If you book this room bring 2 cans of Glen 20, surface spray and 2 cloths, vacuum cleaner and glass cleaner.

The location is ideal for families. Main Beach is a quiet area in Gold Coast but it is close to shopping and other activities.
Sunbird Beach Resort is located right on the beach with just one road to cross to get to a patrolled beach. This is a major safety factor.
The building has been here for many years, but it has had major renovations (some ongoing) which keep it up to a good standard.
Underground parking, beach side, great views, great location great facilities and secure entry, what more could you want?
Our unit was vlean comfortable and homely.
The managers were very helpful and friendly and we look forward to coming back again.

There is only one thing bad.

Short walk to tram. Great indoor and outdoor pool. The apartment was quite dated, and appliances were pretty ordinary. Can hear people in the corridor, which was annoying. Only one of the two lifts was working, which was unfortunate. Otherwise, it is a great location and a comfy stay.

From the minute we walked in we knew this was going to be a great place to stay. David from reception was brilliant, very very helpful & we appreciated his help.|The apartment was lovely, very clean & well thought out, everything you would except & more. So happy to spend our time here.|A short walk to the beach & walking track. |Great restaurants on Tedder Ave are a bonus. |Construction going on in the aera but that's life. |Will be back for sure.

The worst 4 star accommodation we have stayed in. We stayed in 9B, the beach views were to die for, that was about it. Everything else went wrong. The mattresses were so uncomfortable, we ended up with very sore backs. They have managed to change the mattresses on the next day. The washing machine did not work properly, the dryer was not working. They promised to get someone to come and fix them but no one came. , It was difficult to open some of the windows and sliding doors especially in the kitchen, lounge and main bedroom. The cutlery were dirty when we arrived and the plates, glasses, pots, frypans were not in the right cupboards, we had to search what we wanted to use. There was no mop. They did not reply to our message after hours. We stayed there for 9 nights, they did not come and change the sheets and towels. We will never stay there again.
