Booked two rooms last minute after our original booking at another location was cancelled on us whilst we were driving to Sydney. Staff were friendly and helpful when we booked in, and even more so when after checking out and driving 7hrs away from Sydney, I realized I left some clothing hanging in the cupboard. After calling, the staff member at reception went to my room, found the clothes and offered to send them to me using the room deposit that hadn't charged back to my card yet and they'd let me know if it came to any more. They also offer secure parking at $15 per day.

Amazingly convenient location, directly across the road from Top Ryde City shops, short walk to Blaxland Road and Devlin Street and access to public transport. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but well-appointed, the beds a little bit soft (but I’m fussy about beds) but comfy. Two suggestions I would make to improve them - have bedside tables and power outlets on both sides of the bed, and have the bathroom light switch inside the bathroom so you can turn it on after you close the door and not wake up your fellow traveller. I would happily stay again.

Smallish rooms but very good inclusions, modern. Some surprising additions that not many hotels include these days, such as real wine glasses, a full size refrigerator. The location is hard to beat being just across the road from the Top Ryde shopping centre.A large roof deck with tables, chairs and lounges.An onsite cafe.Pleasant professional 24 hour service.Will definitely stay here next time the occasion arises.

We stayed here a night to attend a funeral in Sydney and the rooms couldn't have been better suited. Super clean, comfortable and new, well appointed with a little kitchen (but large fridge which was great!) and condiments and a bonus free barista made coffee downstairs in the morning. LOVED the location near the shopping plaza and public transport and all the staff were beautiful and welcoming. Thank you so much for your hospitality we would definitely stay again.

My preferred place to stay when I have business or theatre in Sydney. A short 500X bus trip from the stop around the corner into City Town Hall makes it easy to access everything I need. Staff are great and the free barista coffee is a bonus. Spotless, comfortable bed, decent bathroom and a kitchenette to make your breakfast/meals is a great help. Been coming for over 4 years. No kids allowed is a bonus if interrupted sleep from kids playing in the hallway or losing it with their parents becomes an issue for you. It also has good wifi and large common area for spreading out, cooking for a larger friendship group or laundry needs. |Top Rude shopping centre directly opposite and traffic noise is much quieter than in the city centre.

The staff were nice, hotel is good, but they didn’t inform me that there is major construction remedial repair works happening on the outside, the workers started 7am in the morning drilling and hammering on the walls, additionally, they have charged us for a full price, when there is major construction works happening, there should be a compensation and discounted rate, but didn’t. Not happy at all. Too much noise. They should be transparent.

Another visit to Sydney and another stay at Studio 8, and it did not disappoint. This time we were assigned the “penthouse”. Sounds good as it is the only apartment on the top level, but it shares this with the rooftop bbq and common area, which may be occupied till 10pm, so going to bed early may be an issue. The room is spacious and well equipped, ours even came with a few ants, which were quickly dealt with by staff, who are wonderful.
