Previously over a year a go I enjoyed some delicious fish and chips from Stoney the fishmongers in Toowoomba so decided when we felt like fish and chips before our movie last night we would go again. Very disappointed in the feed for 2 that we purchased it was over cooked tasted terrible. Asked for chicken salt and lemon got neither. Spoke with them however unless we took it back to the store they were not interested. No way was I holding onto it to smell my car out. Through the night my husband became very unwell from the dinner we had tried to enjoy. Very poor

Got fish and chips and somehow they forgot the chips (with chicken salt). Spent my lunch break chasing it up. Walked back to collect the chips - opened them up back at the office - no chicken salt. Fish, calamari and scallop were fine and staff were friendly.

Great fish and chips. Had a family of 5 to eat and we all have very diverse tastes. Some of us had a prawn cocktail, others had traditional fish and chips and others had different non-seafood meals. And we all left satirised.

The staff were lovely, especially Donna.

We will be coming again.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch special today. Cod and chips were cooked beautifully. Such friendly service and a lovely area to dine in. Plenty to choose from on the menu or grab and go options available. Would highly recommend and I’ll definitely be returning!

I have eaten the food here on many occasions and it has always been great however the experience I had tonight was absolutely appalling. I made an order at the counter at around 545pm and waited patiently until around 6.15pm when I was told that they had my order down to be made at 6.30. They seemed to imply that I had told them that which I certainly did not. Very unusual for someone to make an order, stand there for 30 minutes and not want it to be ready until after 6.30? They then said they could make it but it would be at least 20 minutes to which I replied I wanted a refund. Then I was told I could not have a refund as I did not have my physical card (didn’t seem to be a problem when they took my money originally). They then told me it wasn’t their fault? How can it be the customers fault when they ordered at the counter no one ever mentioned a delay in time to pick up the order? I have worked in customer service for a long time and can’t believe this business can not apologise and take accountability. I will never return!

Met some friends for lunch last week and would not return. Our meals were poorly presented and tasteless. One staff was rude and loud yelling at another customer while taking my friends order. The cafe music was loud and the whole cafe was uncomfortable.

Recently had lunch here with friends and were all badly disappointed. My seafood chowder was watery vegetable soup with 1 prawn (tail still attached), 1 calamari ring, 1 extremely small sea scallop and one mussel.
Friends ordered dinner for 1 each and received potato scallops instead of sea scallops, surely a seafood place would serve a sea scallop when the menu says "scallop". One piece of fish was brown throughout.
The place also reeked of the smell of fish and uncovered desserts were in the same cabinet as raw seafood.

We just ordered take away for our family at 4.30pm and it didn't arrive until nearly 6.30pm. We had kids meals on the order and we had to feed our kids some frozen pizza at home because it took so long, and so the kids meals went un-eaten. We ordered seafood sauce and none was delivered with the order. When we called at 6pm to find out where it was I was told it was cooking and the woman I spoke to said she would deliver it personally. The person who delivered it was an uber eats driver and the food clearly sat waiting for her to arrive as it was cold and soggy on delivery. Absolutely terrible food and service.
