The first thing you notice walking into the Stockman Hotel is the great atmosphere, the rustic country style decor, historic old photos of the towns history and the friendly welcoming staff. The food was 'spot on' especially the calamari, sweet potato chips, strawberry cheesecake and on this particular night, the best lamb rump and veges I've ever tasted and all washed down with a nice cold beer. It was a busy night but the service was prompt and with a smile. It was then perfect timing when I wandered out to the front just in time to witness a gorgeousTexan sunset. This little town and the 'Stockman' have now become a regular destination for me.

Perfect motel room for an overnight stay. Room was nice & clean. Hotel right next door. Lovely steak. Great atmosphere. Two ladies behind the bar were very friendly.

The room was clean , comfy and more than adequate. The food was amazing 🤩. I even got to meet the chef! Loved being able to have dinner and a few drinks and just toddle off to my room. The management and staff were warm and friendly and I can’t wait to go back.

We ate a meal here tonight and the food and service were exceptional. I had salmon and steamed veggies and hubby had calamari with chips and salad. Both our meals were delicious from start to finish. Staff were friendly and prompt. Nice atmosphere in the pub too. Definitely recommend. ❤️

This is a great pub. The beef stir fry was the best I've had in years. Very tasty and the pub had a quite a few people there eating and drinking. The beer is cold. The motel rooms out the back are bigger than average motel room with a great Split AC unit, reasonable size TV and mini fridge jug etc as expected. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows are ready to be replaced. The room was clean and well made up with soft towels etc. The water was hot with good pressure. I'm assuming the bathroom would be scheduled for a refurbishment sometime in the future but not really required as it's fully functional. The room and bathroom doors both require trimming so they close easily. Parking is right outside the room door. Sounded like some workers had a breakfast finishing 0630 with a radio blasting not far from the rooms. No breakfast was offered on checkin even if at that time only do may not have been part of the hotel organisation. Well done and recommended. Staff are very polite and professional.
