Great local cafe to chill out with plenty of space.
The staff is lovely and makes you feel very welcome. The food is always tasty, plentiful and nicely presented, it’s good value for money
$10 pensioners deal - cake and coffee of your choice- is definitely a bonus.

I like that it’s community orientated and gives young people the chance to work a shift or two.
The cafe also offers you the opportunity to pre-buy a coffee or a meal for someone who might be a bit down on their luck.
Thanks everyone in Sticks and Grinds. 🌼

Had a Chicken 🐔 Snitty Burger with salad and chips 🍟. Hmm 😒 had better, way better, for $21 it certainly was overpriced. Considering The Australian Hotel, The Ville Casino, Sun Hotel produce a better product made in house by Chefs 👨‍🍳 👩‍🍳 for less (around $15 - $17 without the stodgy taste. Now I understand all the negative reviews. Which has convinced me not to return 😕. There many Cafés one can go to confident one will get a better product for ones money.

Came in for brekky, ordered eggs benny and a burger, waited half an hour when I was the only customer in there, this didn’t phase me as much as I understood there was only one chef present at the time. The burger was absolutely delicious, was perfect, the thing that surprised me was the egg benny, I’ve never been to any cafe or restaurant that serves eggs benny on toast… can’t fault the cooking, it was delicious just the wait time and lack of service. Would try again, love to support local businesses, burgers are a must try.

After waiting an hour for two meals the quality was shameful. Half of the big breakfast was stone cold . She offered to “ heat it up” WTAF
The eggs Benny were uncooked , served on toast and the Hollandaise was tasteless
Our coffee was in takeaway cups
And there was plenty of staff on
Biggest waste of $54

No refund offered
Overall a pretty sad experience
Never again

I had the rise and shine big breakfast. Everything was overcooked except 1 runny poached egg, the other egg was hard...
The mushrooms were dry and overcooked as were the sausages and the hash browns were like cardboard...
Very disappointed

This is the second time I have eaten here. The first time they gave me white bread instead of whole meal which is what I asked for. My husband ordered big breakfast and the baked beans and sausages were missing. The second visit i asked for green tea and got jasmine, the assistant had already been told twice green tea then she asked my husband what tea a third time. My scrambled eggs on toast arrived with the smallest serve of egg on the plate definitely not what it should have been. My plate was taken away and returned with a more decent amount. Overall not a good eating experience compared to the previous owners.

Can personally vouch for the beef burger (big homemade looking beef patty) & chips (enough for 2 people) which I think is cheaper than the fast food chains in the combo, and the eggs benny (amazing sourdough and popping eggs). Sometimes prep takes a little longer than I'm used to but overall it's worth it. Love this little Cafe.

The wife and myself went in to support a local. Our coffee was quick out but after a 40 minute wait for eggs benni we asked for a refund at the same time another customer was asking for her meal as her husband had already received his and finished.
I can understand if it was flat out but it was fairly quiet. It seemed that they were prioritising food delivery orders before instore customers.
Honestly pretty piss poor to your local customers.
