We happened upon Starhaven Retreat by chance and whilst we’d never booked a “bed and breakfast” style getaway before, we liked what we saw and read, so booked it.

Communication from our hosts was immediate and informative. Local knowledge and recommendations helped us plan our stay in a new area, before we arrived.

On arrival , welcome from Ian and Rob made us feel relaxed and at home.

Their property is awesome and has so many beautiful features, without being pretentious.

After a lovely breakfast around the table with our hosts and two other lovely couples, we headed out to enjoy many of the recommended walks, cafes and restaurants.

Would absolutely rebook and stay with Ian and Rob again at Starhaven Retreat. Encourage others too as well.
Highly enjoyable and strongly recommended.

Our three day stay at Starhaven was nothing less than INCREDIBLE! Ian and Robert ensured our stay was WONDERFUL! Adding all of the finishing touches only true professionals would consider. My husband & I have not experienced a stay of this calibre in many years. From the spa, to the lavish breakfasts, to the theatre room, stunning views and our couples massage! We had a most relaxing stay at Starhaven.|Rob & Ian were delightful hosts, their knowledge & recommendations for the Bellarine Peninsular had our adventurous side wanting more.|Starhaven is truly ‘grand’, spacious and luxurious. The views stunning and yet so relatively close to the city.|We indulged in a couples massage, followed by a dip in the Jet stream spa and a relaxing Sauna.|When we finally dragged ourselves away from the property, we had a lovely time investigating the Bellarine. |We returned to an evening in the private cinema, a ‘Star class 15-seat cinema’ with popcorn and cornetto ice creams.|The attention to detail at so many levels is truly a credit to Rob & Ian.|Thank you for making us feel so welcomed and our weekend away so special.|AND loved our breakfasts.|Deb (& T)

A fantastic, cosy & luxurious 5-star stay. Robert & Ian were exceptional hosts going above & beyond to accommodate us & bring so much warmth to their spectacular home. We were blessed to be upgraded to the Starhaven Suite which was breathtaking, boasting a stunning spa, its very own steam room & a massage bed.||The facilities were beyond expectation and included a huge spacious spa, sauna & movie cinema.||Robert & Ian have an immaculate eye for detail including a beautifully set breakfast table, impressive buffet & personalised hand written message each morning welcoming us to breakfast. This warm welcome was extended in person & was one of the highlights of our stay... sharing stories & chatting with Robert & Ian over breakfast & enjoying each other's company. Mickey, their pet dog was also a highlight who we loved being around! ||We ordered a champagne hamper which Robert & Ian so kindly organised & delivered to our room with a generous mix of hot and cold dishes, again presented with perfection!||Starhaven is a luxurious stay I highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing pampered weekend away. To ensure you make the most of Starhaven's facilities I would recommend a minimum 2 night stay. It is clear why Starhaven has won awards as it has been my favourite stay to date. I'm so looking forward to returning to Starhaven & seeing Robert, Ian & Mickey again!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Starhaven Retreat. The room was magnificent, with views across the bay to the Melbourne skyline.

The photos online do not do this place justice! It is simply an amazing house affording luxuries that are out of this world like the in house cinema and giant spa! Every time we entered a new space in the house when Rob gave us the tour on arrival had us awestruck! The owners - Rob and Ian - are great hosts and provide good company over the breakfast they provided each morning (along with their dog Mickey) . We had a great time here over the Easter break.....Ben & Kath

Robert and Ian have thought of everything! They are the warmest and friendliest hosts always at the ready for anything you might need during your stay. Lots of good tips on activities and good eats. Lots of good conversation and meeting other guests. ||Mickey, the four legged furry boi was right there with his beautiful ice blue eyes and expressive face. Wish we could have taken him home 😀||We enjoyed the beautiful Sunset Suite as a last minute (re)booking as we needed to make a last minute cancellation six months ago. Robert remembered our name and the suns and moons aligned for us to celebrate our anniversary in the Bellarine. A perfect get away and we used the spa and sauna, the starlight cinema for popcorn and ice cream and the wonderful couples massage. ||Thank you Robert and Ian! We hope to be back soon.
