Went to dinner with the family, 4 adults & 4 children. Our food came out fast and was absolutely amazing! Very well priced and the kids meals are also very generous! We can't wait to come back.

Wow since my last review the bistro has changed hands and what a brilliant change. All of our meals were delicious, fresh and hot. We couldn't fault anything.
The menu was extensive and it was really hard to choose something so we will definitely be back to try something else.

Love love love. Have been so many times in the last 6 months and haven't had a bad meal yet. Kids husband and myself all love it. No kids are but was fine

New owners! The food is brilliant!!! The service is great and the staff are so welcoming and lovely! |We had wagyu steak & lobster mornay!! The steak just melts in your mouth! The lobster was delicious and creamy! Would go back weekly for lunch or dinner!

Did a stop over in Macksville on the way to Gold Coast, my husband had been here years ago for work and recommended The Star Hotel, what a lovely gem to fine.
Wonderful food sooooooo mouthwatering, 6 of us dined and all the meals were beautifully presented and cooked perfectly, the staff were very friendly and had a smile on their faces constantly
Will definitely be back, as hardest thing to do was to make a decision on what to eat

Haven’t been to the Star for ages but was keen to go on hearing that they had a new menu.|Was not disappointed,|Lots to choose from,food was excellent and a reasonable price.|Staff were great.|It’s so nice to sit upstairs even in the cooler weather, lots of heaters so very comfortable and can still enjoy the brilliant view.
