Ordered 2 mains, a kids, entree and a pizza. I must say today was our best experience at the Springdale heights tavern. Other times were pretty good but it feels like today was that next level. The service staff were helpful and friendly. My porterhouse steak was better than I had imagined. Typically I am a parmi guy but not now… definitely worth a visit. Even better on a cold winters day when it’s quiet.

What drew me to visit this place was firstly the external architecture,which looked more like an old country pub.I was blown away by the interior design.I was impressed with the friendly gaming/bar duty manager,she was really nice and capable in her demeanor.I thought that the security set up was also on the mark and would be a comfort to those who choose to frequent this place.The drive in Bottle Shop had a vast variety of items for sale.I didn't buy any food so I cannot comment in this area.Because I worked as a supervisor in this area for a few years,I personally do not gamble on the gaming machines.But I can understand why the elderly like to spend their time playing them.Of course the machines by law ,need to payout about 87 cents in every dollar spent ,so the odds are stacked against gamblers.( A good way for organised criminals to launder their money!)

Staff are friendlier and more helpful now. Food is always very good, would go more often if they didn't charge card fees. They keep Reno's up to date so the atmosphere is great, was a great place to watch Superbowl. Bottlemart app specials are great value. Drive through staff give especially good service.

We came here on a Friday night for a table of 20. We booked about 3 weeks in advance and called a week early to confirm and ensure everything was OK. We arrived and tried to find our table and weren't able to. Asked staff to help, and they were also unable to. They had forgotten our table and had 20 people waiting. Props on their part, they were helpful, and found is a table, but it had water dripping on half of it. We asked to move, and they moved a later reservation to that table, and we got a different one. The garlic bread was delicious and very cheesy. The aracini balls were OK but very crunchy on the outside, but the sauce with it made it delicious. My little brother thoroughly enjoyed his nuggets and chips. We also had a margarita pizza, which was basic, but still yummy. I had the carbonara, which was very creamy and full of chicken, which I enjoyed, but the pasta itself was a bit chewy and clearly overcooked. However, a family member of mine has the exact same dish, but it tasted very different. It was presented very blandly and hardly had any chicken in it. I tried some of hers compared to mine, and the difference was significant. It is not always a good thing to not have consistency with every dish. It was a nice family dinner that was a bit soured by the start, but all the kids enjoyed the lovely playground they had. Wouldn't go again, but it was a nice experience overall.

Down to 4 again. The pork belly was once a great dish and have had it many times. However, they don't even try to make the skin crispy anymore. They are happy to serve soft rubber. It wasn't really busy at the lunch time I ordered.

Upped to 5 stars. They were so accommodating to my diet and they know how to cook steak perfectly.

Great pub grub for the price (and some dishes that are really amazing) The specials can be hit and miss. But come and make your own decision

If you like gambling and comedy this is the place for you . Never mind the pokies the menu will scratch your gambling itch . I've been here semi regularly over the past few years and Sometimes the meals CAN be good .... can also be inedible and Sometimes your left wondering if it will ever even turn up at all !!
If you have to much money and and need a laugh... and want your guest to leave hungry try the platters .
Most staff are good people but a few in the kitchen .... maybe they just don't like working weekends .
Nice clean venue tho and the beer is cold so it's not all bad . Lots of other places do have cold beer tho .

Service by staff was questionable. $30 meal not complete and a disappointing excuse given. No compensation or apology.
35c surcharge for every purchase inc every individual drink.
No decaf, no cups, no pots of tea, no takeaway cups.
Missing the excellent hospitality of previous ownership.

The food was disgusting and unfortunately not all the chefs fault. Food sat under heat lamps for 20 minutes before being called to pickup. Look at the chips. 4 meals over $100 and couldn’t eat any of them. Walked out disgusted. Haven’t been there since 2014 since a similar issue and will be another 9 years before back again.

Kids also allowed to run riot screaming and running around so cannot even say the environment was acceptable.

A lot for the Tavern to work on if they want to improve.
