I had this misfortune of booking a five night stay between Christmas and new year. It all went pear shaped pretty much from arrival.|Opened the door carpet had not be vacuumed for our stay. One thing we bring from home is our Dyson as in most cases the vacuums supplied do little . Ran it over the carpet and filled 3 barrels with carpet debri and long brown hair. Got that in order and thought we could get on and enjoy our stay but no. |2nd issue was drinking glasses consisted of a wine glass and 2 coffee mugs. Ended up purchased 12 glasses at big w and took them home after using . |Issue 3,was whilst there was no antennae cable for the tv which I had read on another review I thought bring from home and we should have free to air tv, but no I was spot on with the cable but no tv remote so unable to operate the tv as it had no external buttons to turn on channel volume etc. rang the host number which was a dodgy company named Airtrip and reported issues but received absolutely zero help or remedy . The only success was getting the correct wifi password sorted. Sadly the horror stay gets worse. |The dishwasher had a foul stench of rotting organic material in the bottom cleaned as well as the carpet and the blue sofa that had crumbs lollies chips down the cracks. And finally the washing machine was broken so unable to wash the limited amount of clothing we took on the trip. That was a huge inconvenience and really crushed any pleasure from the stay. Again no care or rectification from Airtrip. ||Big takeaways Airtrip operate varies properties use Expedia Wotif to list but then shunt you to stayz Abro and the money goes through them. |Any accomodation that offers a partial refund few weeks before and no refund past a certain date is a dead giveaway for AIRTRIP. Anything day before 100% refund is safe. |Also AIRTRIP mount a camera outside the front door of the apartment so if you don’t want to be spied upon it is best turn off the router located in what would be the linen cupboard and just use your mobile data . After getting the run around with Expedia, Wotif , Arno and AIRTRIPi abandoned to try for a refund. ||Now if everything had been perfect at spire I would choose to not stay again in the future. The pool looks nice on a postcard but it was about as clean as the carpet, and Is very small and not practical for laps. . Also lots of backpackers drinking taking over the sitting space . |I am not sponsored or receiving any payment from Dyson.

We booked this apartment a week in advance, contacted it this morning to arrive at 8:30 p.m. The apartment sent out a bunch of terms and conditions at 6:00 p.m. today, such as a cleaning fee for leaving the house unclean, $600 for lost keys, $50 for checking out late, and other unreasonable charges. I know it's necessary to keep the apartment clean and follow the rules, but why did they have to send out a bunch of clearly unreasonable rules only two hours before we arrived, the vacation was ruined and I wouldn't recommend this apartment to anyone!

Recently stayed just for one night and have contacted the Spire but no response. The room was very clean but was very disappointed when housekeeping came at 9am and said their manager asked them to come early then asked if they could keep cleaning while I was standing there with no pants on. This was very rude as check out was at 10am, I was still asleep and obviously startled by someone coming into my room. Doing a pre-check in online I felt was more inconvenient for me as I had to do it the day before I arrived as the reception is closed Saturday-Sunday. I had to call to make sure I was doing it correctly as it stated I must pay the total of the room again as well as the refundable bond. Turns out I didn’t have to pay that so luckily I called. The smoke alarm was also beeping the whole stay and overall not worth the money to stay here.

The roof top pool is the highlight amongst an otherwise poor quality experience.|My room smelt of stale cigarette smoke, the air conditioning outlets were caked with dust & the air conditioning itself, was bearly acceptable & would not respond to setting changes. |Furthermore, the compendium is generally light on information - including zero instructions on using the A/C, short of a labelled photo to indicate each symbol on the wall mounted control panel.|Finally, I was inable to enter the property on my arrival - more or less in front of the gent manning the reception desk.|I did make my way in as someone exited the place, but I suspect I could have stood there forever...|On the days I stayed, there was a lot of choice - competitivtly priced & equally appointed rooms & facilities... I won't be booking a room at this property again.

We recently stayed for 2 nights in the Spire Residences and the property exceeded expectations. Location was within easy walking distance to the CBD and other attractions. |The apartment was large, well appointed and extremely clean. |Highly recommend.

Building management are a bewildering mix of equal parts arrogant and incompetent.
Missing service deadlines (trapped in garage an hour after maintenance was meant to be complete), turning off your FOB with no notice stranding you outside at nighttime, and leaving your apartment unlocked after inspections are just some good examples.
Recommend to steer clear.
P.S. Make sure you plan the 15-minute wait times for an elevator into your day. Count yourself lucky if 2/3 elevators are working simultaneously as it's a rare occurrence!

Rude Attitude, requires a photo of your ID without safety for your information (details of your id and siting of it is not enough) I understand its for your safety how about mine? In the times of identity thefts and scams you providing no guarantee and/or no insurance for my private information.
Missed on weekend rates
Do not recommend.

Summary: Overpriced, unclean and poor service. The standard of the accomodation and service advertised online by Spire Residences was misleading. I do not recommend staying here.
On arrival, it was clear the room had not been cleaned. Damage, dirt, dust and stains were clearly visible across living areas, bedrooms and the kitchen. It would appear as if no one from Spire Residences had stepped foot in the room following its last period of occupation as we arrived to find a shower cap covering a smoke alarm in the second bedroom (amongst other things a reasonable accomodation provider would seek to address prior to a room being re-occupied).
Further, prior to arrival, a request for access to the car park was made to Spire Residences by the booking contact. That request was confirmed received by Spire Residences.
Later (approximately 3.00pm), a message was sent by Spire Residences to the booking contact advising that the fob to access the car park must be picked up from Reception before 4.00pm, as Reception would close at 4.00pm. The booking contact was inflight at the time the message was sent and therefore did not receive the message until 4.30pm. No alternative arrangements were offered or made by Spire Residences to facilitate collection of the fob to access the car park despite knowing that it was required by the booking contact and confirming at an earlier stage that it could be provided.
Urgent requests to discuss these matters were made immediately via email, telephone and text messages to Spire Residences however no response was received. Consequently, the “Emergency Contact” number provided on the signage at Reception was contacted. The “Emergency Contact” person advised that they did not work for Spire Residences and that no one who did work for Spire Residences could be contacted (note: it was 4.45pm on Friday afternoon at this time).
Despite numerous attempts to contact Spire Residences, no response was received (note: Spire Residences has failed to acknowledge, or at the very least respond to, any of our correspondence to date).
As a consequence, we have sought a full refund of the payment made in connection with the booking as the accomodation was not fit for purpose.
