Would give 10 stars if I could. The food, service, and ambience were amazing. The staff truly goes above and beyond.

My highlights were the wonderful and attentive staff; the duck curry, seriously wow; the asparagus were probably the best I've ever had.

My favourite was the ambience and being surrounded by nature, especially the Flora & Fauna tour with Aaron, the resident horticulturist, was remarkable and unmissable! What a delightful nature walk getting to learn about all the plant species, birds, and other animals on the property.

If you are looking for a place to relax and disconnect, you've found it!

We just wrapped up an incredible retreat at Spicers Tamarind with our group, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by the stunning nature, forest, waterfalls a few hundred meters away.
Staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay unforgettable. They went above and beyond and always with a warm smile and thoughtful service. The food was great.
Overall, Spicers Tamarind is the perfect place to escape, relax, and recharge. Whether you're looking to connect with nature or simply unwind with friends and colleagues, this place offers the perfect balance of luxury and tranquility. Highly recommend!

My husband and I spent 24hrs at the tamarind retreat in Maleny and has an amazing time. From arriving to leaving we were not disappointed. Staff were very professional and efficient. We were upgraded to a larger more luxury suite due to there being a problem with the one we had booked. We were also given a commentary bottle of bubbles and card for our anniversary.
The food at the restaurant was top notch, we couldn’t fault it. Cocktails at happy hour were really good!
It was a hot day when we were there so we used the saltwater pool, which was lovely and refreshing. The surrounding landscape is lush and abundant with many varieties of plants including some wonderful metal sculptures to look at and a lovely stroll down to Gardners Falls.
Sorry, I can’t fault this place, it was truly a magical experience, deserved of 5 stars.

Spicers Tamarind is the perfect retreat to get away from it all! The Orchard Villa was lovely and luxurious, the beds were so comfortable, the temperature was perfect, and our puppy was welcomed. The Tamarind had great breakfast options, even for those with dietary requirements, and room service was available. The grounds and trees were huge, well maintained and green. More than anything else though, our stay was quiet and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for.

Very nice location and fully equipped room with luxurious amenities.
Be aware of restaurant closed on Monday and Tuesday and so no room service avec 6pm on Monday and Tuesday.
Very nice restaurant with Thai/Asian fusion chef style cuisine, full of flavors and interesting spicy mix.
The staff is very helpful and caring.

Had a wonderful Valentines meal on Friday. Both of us enjoyed the amazing flavours and atmosphere thoroughly. Soothing acoustics from the young gentlemen. Service was fantastic. Thank you Tamarind restaurant!

We went here for a birthday dinner. I can't comment on rooms/accommodation as sadly, we didn't stay. We had the three course À la carte. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The service staff were very attentive and warm. The food was AMAZING! Couldn't fault it. Well done to the chefs for their amazing creations. The atmosphere is great, and the setting is simply beautiful. Well done to all involved, and thanks for making my birthday dinner sensational! Highly recommend you visit here.

Review is for the restaurant.

Set menu for valentines day last night. Appears to be a recycle of new years eve menu - lazy. Id say a reflection of the current management style.

Overall the standards at the restaurant have certainly dropped. Spiderwebs over eating areas, dead moths not cleaned out of lights directly above dining tables. Dirty and in need of maintenance with wall paper peeling, stains on carpet/chairs etc.

The service compared to previous years has seen a steep decline. Unprofessional presentation with rumpled shirts, unbuttoned, sneakers, no set uniform. For a fine dining experience a few years ago, there were high calibre and professional wait staff with an understanding of wine pairings, dressed professionally, polished systems in place.

The past experiences made anniversaries and valentines day so special. This year however, it took until the end of our first course was finished before we received a bottle of wine we had ordered, after repeatedly asking three seperate servers for our drinks, and no one offered us further drinks nor poured the wine. It may sound snobby if you don’t know the place for me to say this on a review, but honestly the experiences we had in the past were fantastic and cost a fair bit of money for a special occasion. Some servers were polite and lovely yesterday, but lacked direction, polish and training. Management needs to fix ASAP because it is affecting the whole experience.

Pre-prepared food items that do not have the fresh vibrancy that has seen us coming back over the last three years were on the menu yesterday. It tastes like someone is trying to use recipes from menus we have sampled in the past, however lacks the understanding of flavours and combinations in order to pull off fine dining. Food was “just okay” but not worth the price. From the menu it appears, there was a priority for ‘quick’/‘easy’ banquet options rather than the fresh options of previous years.

Regarding price - last valentines day (as we ate during that event also), we felt we were getting a complete dining experience, from quality of the food, lovely service, and now with the current standards from this years’ valentines, i do not believe the value is reflected in food, service nor the price of dining at the Tamarind. This also extends to the prices charged for wine eg a 3 - 4 time markup on the wine prices that we noted. Overall, the wine prices do not match the experience.

Overall, an underwhelming experience. This does not reflect the vision nor quality of the previous owners of Spicers Tamarind. A shame for this to be lost in the changeover of ownership in the last year.

If management are happy with the current standards of food and service last night, the prices charged at the restaurant need review.
