Great restoration job to the main pool as others have mentioned, should keep it in good condition for a long time to come. Used it in the off-peak times (7am, 6pm) in early February to do laps as an inexperienced, non hardcore swimmer; it wasn't particularly crowded - shared a lane with one other person at most. Staff on duty happy to advise when school groups, team training on. If I was really trying to nitpick, admission rates could be a bit cheaper, and changerooms could do with an update from the 1950s - but are perfectly fine as is for the amount of time you spend in them.

Speers point pool is an old favourite with locals. Entry is affordable and also obtainable through fitness passport. For those with young ones and perhaps caught out without a swim nappy, these are available for purchase at admission and are a requirement. There are two pools and a walk-through fun zone for the young ones where they can get wet without being in the pools whilst staying undercover and out if the sun. Both pools, one a 25m and the other a 50m have shelter over a decent portion of each for shaded swimming (the shallow end of the 50m). The 25m pool is single depth all the way across - good for kids or those not willing to tread water. You can swim laps in the 50m or swim casually. Lifeguards are always present and vigilant. There are change rooms, sheltered areas with picnic tables and plenty of grassy area to stretch out and catch some shade. There is a small kiosk for all your hot chips, drinks, etc. The pools are kept sparkling clean and for all the reasons above, our family will keep coming back. Keep up the good work!

went twice this summer and everyone was asked to leave on both occasions. one for a code brown and the other for potential lighting strike. There is a nice, covered area to swim, which is great on a sunny day.

Should open a month earlier just for me ?
Prefer this pool over the others. It doesn't seem to get as busy there as the others. (Unless it's a super hot day like today).
Staff have always been amazing.

My grandchildren & I had a great morning. Lifeguards watched over everyone in all pools and water play areas. Great seating and shade. Although busy with schools visiting re carnival and swim classes , there was still plenty of room for us.

Parking just out the front, entry pricing is acceptable considering this is a council pool.
The deep fried food sold at the pool is filthy and disrespectful to provide to the public.
There is quite a of shaded area for those whom want to avoid the sun for playful fun.
