Used to go to cafe Bambini every visit to Townsville. Well, no more. This place is much better. Service is great. Meals were quick and delicious & atmosphere is relaxed.
If you go, buy the pumpkin sourdough loaf they serve with meals. Out of this world!!!

Medium coffee was small. Eggs on toast $15 for one egg scrambled with no seasoning. Eggs need seasoning and perhaps one more egg for the price but really if the taste was on point I’d come back. No sauce offered. Pepper on table no salt.

Overall impression is mediocre at premium cost.

Ordered the smashed avocado with added bacon at a cost of $24.50, $2 more than even listed on the menu. At this price a premium portion of avocado and bacon was expected. Instead I received what I would consider an embarrassing amount of avocado and although the bacon portion was very well sized, the quality of the bacon was clearly bottom dollar.
The rocket salad included was not particularly fresh either. The pumpkin bread was delicious but again only a single slice with not even a full covering of avocado definitely felt lacking in quantity.

In regards to the coffee (a flat white no sugar), I cannot recommend. The coffee blend appears to be very mellow and bland with barely any flavour.

I hope in the future this improves as the location is well placed and quite cosy despite being in a shopping centre.

I ordered a Chai Latte in a mug this morning. Nothing like a Chai Latte in taste. I asked the waitress to check that this wasn’t an incorrect order. Shout out to her - she was very pleasant and returned it to the coffee station. She returned with another - exactly the same and NOT a Chai Latte. I couldn’t drink it the coffee was so strong, so left it on the table. Very sad as generally was have had a good experience. Perhaps new coffee baristas and they aren’t too sure of the product

Another great delivery by Speciality Coffee Traders. All the staff so friendly and the coffee is good here. The bonus here is the longer opening hours, and the full menu turning out delicious breakfast and lunch. As with the Garbutt flagship shop the banana bread is the best in town.
