The pool is overrated, not heated and quite dirty. You will need to turn on the robovac to clean it before use.||Clearly not maintained. Apart from making the property "Look" great, it's really not very functional or useful.||The house was great, excellent kitchen amenities, good location and we had a great time.||The room furnishings are a little dated and we had to air out the home as it was smelling a little musky/mouldy.||Hot water shower was erratic and clearly has a mind of its own.

Location is great, just out of town and easy walk to the beach. Lovely garden area to sit in the sun with a wine. It is a shared set up akin to a youth hostel for 5 rooms of guests with shared living, shower and cooking facilities so be aware of that if you want privacy. The site is very clean and well maintained with comfortable beds and excellent cooking facilities but could do with pantry cupboard for non perishables. Very reasonably priced though for Sorrento. We couldn't help but think it would be ideal if you had a number of friends or families booking rooms on a shared trip together.

Booked last minute via booking.com at a very good rate. Here's the caveat. 1) This is shared accomodation with own rooms and shared bathrooms 2) Contact to owner is via mobile to gain access via key code on door 3) Although wi-fi is advertised you have to request the code from owner, we did via text and got reply after we had left.||That said the accomodation is spacious and clean. Great location too with quick walk to Sorrento centre. This would make a great party house and probably more akin to an Air b'nb property. You take pot luck on who other guests may be and those we met were all very friendly. The king size bed was very comfortable and the silence is noteable with absence of air conditioning. Great for a one night stop with no problems.

Normally I would start a review by mentioning the reception. In this case there is no reception in person, but by phone (foreigners better set up Skype or whatsapp for free calls). Host is available (and answering) upon call.||Once we had entered by using the key-code, we were surprised by the stylish interior of the spacious living/kichen area.||Kitchen equipment is extensive.|There is a terrace with barbie in the garden.||Room is more basic and functional, but clean. Bed of reasonable quality. ||With 6 rooms for over 20 people it is a bit heary.||Nice place 5 min walk to Main Street.

A nice and cozy beach house close to the main strip and not far from the beach. The rooms are a good size, very clean and had a nice touch with a personalized welcome message. Modern, clean and well organised. The beds are super comfy too!

SBH is easy to find and in an ideal spot near the lively main strip in Sorrento; close to all the shops, cafes, restaurants, banks and cinema. On arrival at the accomodation, you have to phone the owners, who give you the code to get in the front door. We had room 2, with a large comfortable bed and spacious ensuite with a big walk-in shower.There is a communal kitchen with ample eating space for many people. There are all the necessary facilities to prepare a meal eg, fridge, microwave, oven, toaster, kettle and plenty of pots/pans, cutlery, crockery and wine glasses. There is also a loungeroom with TV and wood fire.Outside,there is a BBQ area and parking area out the front. The only problem with staying in a shared accomodation, is that it can be hit or miss with the other guests. Unfortunately, we had a rather rowdy bunch, which resulted in an interrupted nights sleep.

Of course everything down this way is expensive in terms of accomodation. I just basically needed a bed for the night rather than a holiday. Looking in the yellow pages 3 backpackers are listed for the whole area of dromana onwards basically. To my surprise all 3 backpackers listed were the same place and they are not a "backpackers" anymore, they are sorrento beach house. ||So it seems not long ago they were yha backpackers and now they are sorrento beach house. The change may only be in name though as this is still essentially a backpackers place. Before I go on I must say I don't mean any of this is negative at all. I booked a room which was apparently a private room for a single or a couple (which it was), however in addition to the king bed there are also bunks in the room. It makes no difference but perhaps others might not like that.||The bathroom is shared with another room. Basically imagine 2 rooms with a bathroom directly inbetween them.||During the time I stayed there was nobody in the whole place until a couple arrived later in the evening. Security seems ok. Theoretically the door system should stop people wandering around in your room. Although the window of my room was only lockable with a plank of wood that didn't quite fit properly.||Don't be surprised if you don't even encounter a staff member during your whole stay. When arriving for check in myself and the other couple were directed over the phone how to enter (main entry is coded) and find your room keys. Room paid for with card over the phone and keys left behind for a 10am checkout. I found it a little odd but whatever. If I owned the place I certainly wouldn't be sitting there all day waiting for people either.||Car parking is just on the gravel in the drive/yard uncovered.||As others mention there is a communal kitchen and lounge area with tv etc.||Wifi password available on request and quite decent.||Location is 3 minute walk to the main strip.||So overall for the price I found it to be quite decent. It was cheaper than caravan park cabins. A slight neg would be the roo s being quite boring. Just a bed, a lamp and a brick wall. Some art or something wouldn't go astray to make the rooms a little interesting.||With the layout of the rooms and extra beds everywhere I think this place would be perfect for a school camp or groups of people.||Oh also I think the website could do with a upgrade.||I would stay here again

location is fine...beware of being overcharged at checkout even though you are quoted pricing at booking and confirmation. make sure it is in writing...the office is not interested after the fact. ||the rooms have no air conditioning...they will offer a small fan if you request it.
