So really liked the vibe or where this hostel was located, it's like in a residential neighbourhood outside Brisby with some sick views!

Property is cool as well...

However Housekeeping has no regard or communication with reception. Had all my stuff touched moved, and put in a bin. They have little bags with plates and cutlery and they took that as well so had to get new stuff (also they make you keep it in your room, which is interesting) an they took my towel out of our on-site bathroom, and I did not get it back.

Rooms had no air con, so prepare to be extremely hot.

As well as rooms located upstairs are literally beside the common area, and is very small space so was like being in a nightclub.

No charging spots very limited as well spaces to chill as well.

Also been 3 days and they have not given me my deposit back, not the best experience here and would try one of the other 4 really cool hostels in Brisbane!

It's manageable for a night or two but wouldn't spend your time or money past that based on my experience and I left!

Nice hostel, one of two beds was solid as a rock meaning not a good nights sleep which ruined what could have been a perfect experience. Super clean bathrooms cleaned multiple times a day. You were given your own set of dishes to babysit which was a little awkward but did ensure the place was tidy and you always had what you needed. They also have a very cute cat.

Really nice place! It was clean, well organized, a very social hostel without being too loud, and the staff was great too! Also the location could not have been better. Really enjoyed the west end and being close to the river (the ferry is only 50 cents, just like all of the other Brisbane public transport)! Highly recommend!

My friend and I didn’t mean to stay as long as we did but we just really liked the environment! The staff is really kind, the people are good, the events are fun and the rooms are also pretty good. They even got curtains on the beds! It was also really clean since everything gets cleaned multiple times a day. If you are a female you can use the female only bath with a separate toilet and petty new and good showers! We really enjoyed our stay, thank youu:))

Look, I loved this place. It felt like home. But, I'm young and wild. So this review is from me personally, and my preferences. I absolutely witnessed what people were talking about with a bunch of younguns doing, um, things that some people might not approve of.

The cleaners do a great job. Everything is well looked after, and the kitchen is very well-equipped. Location couldn't be more perfect. And the atmosphere most of the day is super chill. Great spaces to hang around, whatever your vibe is.

The rooms get a little warm at night, but it's a hostel so i can't expect perfection. Its also Queensland haha.

So, if slightly wild young one is your vibe; this is absolutely for you. But I would say this is definitely not a family-friendly hostel.

I'd also like to make a shout-out to two good citizens. Cadbury the hostel cat for being the snuggliest. And Mateo, for being very patient with everyone and generally trying to look out for people. You were super nice when I was leaving, and made me feel like part of a family.

One of the best experiences of my life ; thanks for everything, the staff is amazing and help you for everything.
The area is very quiet and is not too far to Cbd.
All the things you need are near by.

I stayed here couple nights. Really nice and cozy place. Nobody reapects the no smoking rules tho… so It was not great to be surrounded by cigarettes and weed 24/7. Otherwise chill vibez!!

„Somewhere To Stay Backpackers Hostel will not accept any guests under the age of 18. While management reserve the right to allow persons under the age of 18 stay, they must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian.“
Me and my son (6) arrived and they allowed us only two nights instead of four. Answer was „We have a no kids policy and we are a party hostel. Management is on vacations.“
It wasn’t a party hostel, more a relaxed hostel for longterm-stays. All guests loved my son and although he showed a petition to the receptionist (~70 guests signed!), she kept cold and sticked to her rules. She did not even called the manager who was on holidays. Very disappointing situation, also for a child!
