Camped on an unpowered site, $20 for 2 people per site. Office was unattended upon arrival but text/call the number and it was all sorted. Nice, clean amenities.

Great hotel and roadhouse.|The people are the true strengths of all that is in Bedourie, and the people at the Simpson Desert Roadhouse epitomises that.|While all was better than expected I need to give a special thanks to all the staff who made my stay enjoyable.|Belinda (Bel) is one of the best cooks around and all the food (in copious quantities) that she prepared was well received by all in the group.|Kevin was also one of those people who make such a trip memorable. without asking he brought me my favourite coffee - before I even asked!|All the other staff, many of them from Ireland, Poland and Italy, were truly a pleasure to be around.|If ever you get a chance to get to Bedourie, and you don't take it, you will regret for some time.

The only thing nice about this place is how helpful the front line staff are. Our steak was disgusting, cold, overcooked, like eating boot leather. The vegetables were something else, raw undercooked and cold, I definitely would not recommend purchases any cooked food here.

### Review for Simpson Desert Oasis

If you are going to take a break during your trip in southwestern Queensland, you should hope that you are close to Bedourie. I was fortunate enough to experience the hospitality at Simpson Desert Oasis when I needed assistance after getting a puncture on my bike. Jeff and Jaime went out of their way to help me, demonstrating the kind of support and friendliness that travelers dream of finding.

The accommodations were excellent—my room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Riley made sure the cold beer kept flowing, enhancing the relaxing atmosphere. Despite the chef being ill, Monica, the kitchen hand, stepped up and prepared a special of the day that would be considered a seafood platter in many places.

The evenings were filled with laughter and fun, especially when the drinking games began. Be cautious if Jay and Paula start dealing cards; their games are both entertaining and dangerously intoxicating.

If it wasn't 1990 kilometers away, I would be there every Friday night. Thanks to everyone at Simpson Desert Oasis for a terrific weekend.

Dropped in for fuel and checked out the menu. Bedourie Burger was our choice - absolutely fantastic. We rate it as one of the best on our travels. Well done Bedourie. Reckon we could have shared one burger though because neither of us finished our own. Lovely people there.

Absolutely disappointed! We stayed here a few years ago before the fire and throughly enjoyed our stay in every way. I just can’t understand how it can change so much. There are a few things I need to say. We were quoted $165.00 for a Twin Bed room, on arrival I was then told I had to pay an extra $45.00 for my wife, as the $165 was for one person. When I made the booking it was for 2 people as it has been our entire trip. After challenging this extra cost I was refunded the extra and was told “your the first to complain, so here your money back “ I was extremely grateful for this. When we finally got in our room the fridge, and the bed lights not working. Also we couldn’t shower as the hot water pressure is a dribble. BUT THE BIGGEST ISSUE IS THE BED LINEN stained and not clean, we decided to use our sleeping bags on top of the beds instead. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I can not recommend the Simpson Desert Oasis

Only give a star to be able write a review. Over priced and can't complain about the service as there was none. I was there to grab some supplies but didn't take them due to the over pricing. 1 dim sim $7.80 as an example. We try to support local businesses when travelling but not when they are just rotting tourists

We stayed in our caravan for 2 nights on an ensuite site. Very clean bathroom and had an awesome little set up with a concrete slab.
The town is the cleanest town we have ever been to.
There’s a playground for the kids and a huge swimming pool and spa.
We had dinner at the community centre (temporary spot due to roadhouse burning down) and it was one of the best meals we’ve had. The man running the kitchen was so friendly and did such a good job serving everyone all by himself.
