This is the third time my wife and I have stayed here. The units are of good size with nearly all the facilities you would need for a good break. There is no dishwasher or oven but a stovetop and microwave, but we found this to be a minor thing easily overcome. ||||There is a good sized main bedroom with a queen sized bed, and the second bedroom has two singles both have good sized wardrobes. Sleep quality was good in the main b/room, with a little traffic noise early AM (keep window closed). ||||Good sized kitchen and bathroom with a separate toilet. There is a fully equipped pay as you use laundry on site with w/machines and dryers. ||||Under cover well lit parking with rear access to the unit. Possible the best pool we have used on our travels. The water was spotlessly clean and soft.||||The beach is across the road with showers to clean up before heading home. Good restaurants are within easy reach and the local Boat Club offers a free pick up and delivery back to the units.||||These units were possibly built in the sixties but have been well maintained by the managers Steven and Lesley and are kept spotlessly clean.

The apartment was alot better then expected. Not only was the room extremely clean & modern but we had a wonderful view of the beach which was across the road. The only thing i could fault is the distance to the main shops as we didn't think we would need a car and it took abit of time to walk there but hey at least we got in some exercise whilst on a holiday! Overall, Really impressed 🙂

Was very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were a good size, the kitchen was good, no oven but there is a microwave. Could see the ocean. The biggest downfall was our view of the staircase leading up to the other rooms, would stay up stairs next time. It is a bit far to walk to some shops, if you are fit and active it would be fine.The pool was lovely, very clean, all in all it was a very pleasant place to stay.

We needed an overnight stay as I had a medical appointment at 6.00pm. We had the studio apartment which was very suitable for what we needed. Basic but very clean and the other apartments looked good. We shall probably stay here again for a few days.|In a good position directly opposite the beach and the Seaside Café is right across the road. There are also other eateries close by.

The Place was not spotlessly clean, the floor felt dirty,dusty, musty, furniture was uncomfortable and the whole apartment was dated
The person running the place Lesley was demeaning and humiliating talking to me like a 4 year old! Just disgusting …nagging everytime you see her. She obviously hated doing what she does. 
They robbed me of my deposit $100 stating I didn’t leave the place spotless… I swept ,wash everything tidy and put it nicely in the cupboard, it was as clean if not cleaner when we arrived but she had the gall to do that! 
We stayed there for 7 weeks and the apartment was NOT serviced once during this time.Her excuse was it’s not service apartment but everywhere else we have stayed would service an unserviced apartment once a week as they have weekly turn arounds. We stayed there because it was provided by our employer and we would have checked out if we had that option.
The manager was lazy, rude, whining over minor issues and a thief. I doubt that she would have cleaned the apartment for the next guest.
DO NOT STAY in any CIRCUMSTANCES. 🙁

The managers of Silver Sands are very nice and the units are value for money. However the people downstairs were smokers and their exhaust fumes greeted us in our bedroom first thing in the morning and last thing at night. It would be nice if a no smoking on site policy were implemented. In all fairness we did not ask whether some areas were a no smoking zone, however as the place was fully booked I don't think we could have changed units anyway.

Don't expect to get an ocean view from this motel. So many trees obstructing the beach.||Have stayed in backpackers which were loads nicer than this motel. We only booked this as reviews were positive. Needs refurbishing badly. We stayed 1 night out of 4 and moved up the road to Pier 1 apartments which was $15 cheaper per night and has a 9.2 rating. This move made our stay in Hervey Bay. Also internet not working according to the owner but when we moved up the road they had internet

Older style, spacious, clean unit, surrounded by lovely garden. Very busy corner, so a lot of road noise, during the day. Beach across the road is perfect for walking. Great choice of resaurants within walking distance.
