One of the most incredible places we've ever stayed (and we've stayed at some really great places). This place is so beautiful and so serene! The staff is amazing (especially Vanessa). And while it is upscale it is also very casual and laid back. The food is superb... Every night's dinner is different and terrific. We had massages and they were some of the best ever.

Had a wonderful two night stay at Silky Oaks Lodge. Was recommended to me by an Australian friend, who visited before it was purchased by Baillie Lodges in 2019. It has been massively renovated, and I found the stay to be very worthwhile.

The food and variety were excellent (breakfast and dinner included) and certainly at the level (or higher) of a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. The service was impeccable (thanks to William at dinner, Natalie at check-in, Vanessa at reception, Roger for the excellent tour, the breakfast staff and luggage / drivers).

Although it was raining every day in February (mostly for 2-3 hours in the afternoon), the amenities made it a very peaceful and relaxing stay. Each room has a hammock and all the common areas are covered. I enjoyed morning yoga while it was pouring outside. Highly recommend staying here!

Other great amenities include: free laundry, complimentary minibar, walking trails amidst the property, garden tour, a very helpful concierge with booking tours.

We spent 4 days here in November at the beginning of australia adventure. The accomodations were perfect-with the quiet balcony, hammock, tub on the deck surrounded by forest. The food was delicious and the drinks/wine paired very nicely. All of the staff were so friendly and engaging! The hike up the river to a more remote swimming hole was worth the 'challenge' and the water was crystal clear and lovely. Keep up the great work-and nice to have the "Mr & Mrs Smith" Hyatt connection for loyalty points too...

Silky Oaks is one of the best Lodges we have stayed in Australia. The food was amazing and not too rich. Some restaurants we couldn't eat at for 3 nights in a row but no problem here. I think the chef's have perfected their menu perfectly with an amazing variety. They are world class.| The staff were also some of the best we have come across in Australia. |The location is unbeatable.|We will be back.

Gorgeous Stay, but Watch Your Charges||Silky Oaks Lodge is undeniably stunning, with breathtaking views of the Daintree Rainforest and a sense of serenity that makes it feel like paradise. Every angle of this property is so luxurious. ||However, I have to caution future guests about their billing practices. I was charged twice for my stay, and after two months, the issue still hasn’t been fully resolved. Despite reaching out multiple times, their proposed solution required me to provide my bank account information—a step I am uncomfortable taking, especially given the circumstances.||While the property itself is remarkable, this experience left a sour note. If you choose to stay here, double-check your invoices and monitor your charges closely. The setting is magical, but the handling of financial matters fell far short of expectations.

This place is magical. Their staff is so attentive, the land it sits on is so special and the restaurant is unlike any other. It’s worth every penny to stay in such a magical space with such incredible staff to take care of you. If you’re thinking of a splurge, this one is worth it!

Driving up from Cairns, a mere few kilometres after leaving the main highway and its abundant sugar cane fields, you arrive at this magical location in the Daintree rainforest. The rain was bucketing down when we arrived but we were immediately met with welcoming smiles and umbrellas and the team whisked our bags off to our lodge. ||The central restaurant area is superbly designed with a huge open area overlooking the trees but close enough to see the river below. ||Extremely well-appointed rooms with excellent private outdoor space, including, for the nimble, a hammock with adjustable chains at each end to ensure individual comfort. Each evening a fire was lit in our very own fire pit so we could fall asleep while watching the flames slowly fade away. ||The food was equally excellent and no dietary requests presented too much trouble. As we are shellfish-intolerant, we had our own specially prepared and printed menu each evening - a lovely touch. ||An excellent massage rounded off the stay pleasingly. ||Silky Oaks is a must if you are looking for a very special place to stay in the rainforest.
