Meaning ‘marketplace’, Shuk is a vibrant mix of Israeli, Mediterranean, and Argentine fusion

If you’re into brekkie + brunch.. this place DELIVERS (they do literally, but also metaphorically)

Hands down, some of the best pancakes in Sydney (next to Bill’s buttermilk banana hotcakes)

I visited SHUK today for brunch and had a fantastic experience. I ordered the Hummus Lamb and Halloumi Mezze. The Hummus Lamb was absolutely the best – perfectly paired with olives and warm pita bread, making every bite a delight. The halloumi was delicious as well, rounding out a satisfying meal. I highly recommend this spot for a flavorful and enjoyable brunch!

The food was delicious and I thunk the staff was quite helpful and friendly. They were flexible to replace one ingredient with another in my dish.
Not putting 5 starts due to tables arrangement, it was not crowded but a few single people occupied big tables and the only available table was between exit and counter, so I'd been pushed by people queuing and on the other side it was cold due to open door.

Food-wise, we loved the shakshuka and juices! The various bread options are great and was pleasantly surprised by how good the gluten free bread tasted

Service was quick despite going there on a weekend at 11am. Kid friendly with good menu options, colouring pencils and highchairs. Appreciate how easy it is to order food and drinks via the QR code as well 🙂

As for parking, would recommend parking 1-2 streets down. It's pretty easy to find street parking if you look around

I used to adore Shuk when I lived in Bondi many years ago, so I was super excited to visit again and experience their hospitality.
We visited on Sunday. Maybe the staff were super busy, maybe they were having bad days, but multiple members definitely seemed fed up. The first lady we spoke to didn’t greet us but told with a one word answer that table we were asking to sit at was “reserved” very bluntly. No bother, we got another table in the glorious sun.
Ordered food and coffees at the bar. My boyfriend’s coffee came with a used/dirty saucer and spoon (which we found pretty grim). When he took it back, the barista looked less than pleased at his complaint. When they delivered the re-made coffee he thanked her, to which she literally made the noise “hmmph” …really not a great experience with the staff members.
My avo toast was glorious, so if you can ignore the staff behaviour, it’s worth the visit. I used to love the beautiful pancakes that were famous within our friendship group for being the most epic.
Sadly seems to have lost the special spark that it used to have all those years ago, but food is still epic. Gutted to say I won’t be running back anytime soon 🙁

The best shakshouka in Sydney, but you have to order the smoked eggplant, the chorizo, all the good add ons which means it’s $45 but still amazing!!!!

A local icon! A must visit if you are in the area. Coffee is . Shakshuka is premium. And I love the Israeli rolls, especially the Green Tahina Haloumi combo ?

If you're a local, keep an eye out for their special events too. Loved a vegan night they ran a few months ago!
