Have eaten here several times and I can go out on a limb and say the RSL (surprisingly) has the best Asian food in Shepparton hands-down! Some amazing Satay Chicken and the best part is they don't shortchange the offerings as you get quite the decent size for your money with plenty to take home to enjoy later. Price is moderate and fair and would highly recommend trying the wide menu of Asian food.

Great RSL. This is the best one around this region. It's like what the old RSL's were like. Great service, great meals and excellent value for money. The better half and I were invited to go for lunch on a Saturday. It was busy. A pretty long line up for lunch, but the young lady was doing such a great job you were at the start of line and ordering your meal in good time. The meals were excellent. I ordered a serve of satays and a homemade dimsim for entree to share. For main I had a beef snitty, the better half ordered salmon, my workmate ordered the scotch fillet and his better half ordered the $16 beef and black bean. All serves were generous and brought out by happy staff. Highly recommend, we'll be back. 9.5/10
Lunch again early April. Barra with chips and salad and garlic prawns. Beautiful!!

Heads up it's very busy on a Saturday nights you better book for dinner. Long wait ordering due to being busy. Maybe another til might be handy. Service was great by the lady behind the til considering being under the pump. The meals are huge and very tasty. Great value. Looking around the bistro most of meals looked good. Had the fisherman's basket. Plenty of seafood on the plate . Maybe proper tarte sauce would be handy.

Went here last night for a meal. The menu was quite large with very moderate prices. We had Asian and it was average quality with not much taste except for the sauce. Exceptional service from the staff. The portions were extremely large so if you need to fill up at a cheap price here is the place.

Good experience eating here, decent selection of beers, but a surprisingly large menu with many Asian options which the locals seem to be eating. Plenty of options inside as far as where to sit and I really loved the war memorabilia and photos. Service was good and I quite enjoyed my steak, though was a little gristly....but the price was good so can't complain too much, I'd go back but would try a different meal choice

I recently visited Shepparton RSL and had a mixed experience. The majority of the staff were friendly and accommodating, which created a welcoming atmosphere. However, there was one younger staff member (with her hair in a ponytail) whose behaviour stood out in a negative way. She appeared visibly unhappy, was quite abrupt, and unfortunately did not maintain proper hygiene standards.

At one point, I observed her sneeze into her hands and then proceed to set tables and handle glassware without sanitising. Additionally, after dropping a napkin on the floor, she placed it on a table instead of disposing of it appropriately. These actions were concerning from a hygiene perspective.

The atmosphere overall was fine—comfortable but not particularly outstanding. The food was average, which aligned with my expectations.

With some improvements in staff training and hygiene practices, this venue has the potential to offer a much more enjoyable dining experience.

Excellent dinner as always. Every time we come through Shepparton we try to stop in at the RSL for a meal, and we are never disappointed. Huge servings, well cooked, full of taste, quick service. Tonight we had prawns kebabs, Mongolian beef and fried rice,. All perfect.
