A great place to visit. Thoroughly enjoyed Denham, Monkey Mia and surrounds.
Off peak season may be hot but the lack of holiday people allows for a relaxing and adventurous time.
Lots of Dolphins, turtles and fish to see. Friendly locals, great food and coffee. Well priced given the localities isolation.
The little shop is a must see.
The coffee is amazing and the pottery equally worth buying.
Mehalah has great stories to share about her experiences.

We came to book some tours and left with the best experience ever! Katie was the support we needed – she did everything to make our dreams come true. Even our last-minute request for a sunset flight was no problem for her – she made it all happen, and we felt like the luckiest girls ever! Thank you for your amazing support and for clearly loving what you do. We highly recommend visiting the center to get the best personalized recommendations!

This is a modern Visitor Centre along Knights Terrace in Denham. This makes for a good first stop when arriving in town if you want to learn about dessert and marine tour options or pick up general information about Denham and the Shark Bay area.

There is a Discovery Centre (AUD$13 per adult) if interested in a museum experience relating to the history and heritage of the Shark Bay area. There is a free art gallery section.

Perhaps most interesting, you will also find a 3D film - Fire on the Water (every 15 minutes) relating to discovery of the HMAS Sydney which was engaged in very close quarters by German HSK Kormoran 200 miles off the coast of Shark Bay back in 1941. The film is free to watch, very interesting and worth your time if planning to visit the Visitor & Discovery Centre.

These guys were very helpful. We dropped in a couple of times during the week and always had very friendly helpful responses. Definitely worth having a look at the free 3d movie about wartime catastrophies

Interesting place to take the family .The host was informative and respectful, including the younger visitors to join with feeding the fish etc! I particularly liked the stone fish, when their face was squashed against the glass it reminded me of a dog.Great coffee in the Cafe too!

My visit to the Shark Bay Discovery Centre was transformed into an unforgettable experience, thanks to the stunning exhibition of aerial photography by ND5. This collection offers a unique perspective of Shark Bay that is both breathtaking and inspiring, making it a must-see for both photography enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

The ND5 exhibition showcases a series of aerial photographs that capture the essence and beauty of Shark Bay from above. Each photograph tells a story, inviting viewers on a visual journey through the diverse landscapes and vibrant colors that define this remarkable region. The quality of the photography is exceptional, with attention to detail and composition that truly highlights the skill and artistry of the photographers.

What made the experience even more enriching was the informative context provided alongside the photographs. Learning about the locations, wildlife, and ecological significance of the areas captured in the images added a layer of appreciation and understanding to what I was viewing. It's clear that the exhibition was curated with both passion and expertise.

The Shark Bay Discovery Centre has done an incredible job of presenting this exhibition, creating a space that is both welcoming and engaging.

I left the Discovery Centre feeling inspired and awestruck by the natural beauty of the world we live in, as seen through the lens of the ND5 photographers. This exhibition is a testament to the power of photography to capture and convey the majesty of nature, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. A well-deserved 5-star experience that should not be missed by anyone visiting Shark Bay.

We were visiting the area and went to the information centre this morning. We spoke to Tam who was really helpful and knowledgeable about the area. She helped point out key places to visit and let us know which roads are suitable for our car - also let us know the best places to see the wildlife. Really lovely helpful lady
