Travelling for work, and got one of the last rooms in the budget section, usually used by workers. It was clean and comfortable, and had a good nights sleep.
Mackay is always busy, so happy to get a room and have a great meal at the pub.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Definitely stay there again.

We have had the pleasure of staying here a couple of times over the past three weeks. This business is all about quality service and providing a very comfortable stay. From check-in thru to check-out, the experience was 100% plus.|Front office: Check-in/out was a straight forward exercise with professional friendly staff.|Unit/accommodation: The unit was large, all expected amenities for a motel unit. The bed was comfortable and a good nights sleep and the area is exceptionally quiet, which also helps.|Housekeeping: On both occaissions we have stayed (in different units) they have been spotlessly clean. Our thanks to housekeeping staff.|This motel is part of a larger complex encompassing a restaurant bar (Shamrock Hotel, MacKay), which provides great service and meals. Seperate review.|I highly recommend this location if you are looking for great service, spotlessly clean unit and access to a good meal and maybe a glass of wine or two.

Room is super spacious with everything you need. It is surprisingly quiet at night. Easy to access and the staff is great. It is hard to get on to reception via phone, but whenever you see them at reception nothing is too hard. The room did have quiet a smell to it, which gotten better when putting air con on. Unsure what the cause be for that. Maybe not enough air flow as no fly screens 🤷‍♀️

It was fine for a work trip. Dated but comfy, spacious, and clean, apart from the scummy shower head in 321. I didn't hear any disturbing road noise from the highway at night, nor the pub, though it was only weekdays and nobody was in the beer garden due to the cold, so might be different in summer. The kitchenette with sink and microwave was nice, had all the basics and also an electric frypan. The wifi was ok but wouldn't connect to the tv for streaming channels. I managed to hotspot the wifi to a chromecast via my phone. Meals at the hotel next door were fine. The main downside was the lack of privacy on the balcony, looking directly into the hotel beer garden opposite the motel, and no screens on the balcony door, so if you want natural light or fresh air you need to leave the blockout curtain and glass door open, leaving the room exposed to eyes, mozzies, and cigarette smoke from the shared balconies.

I booked this motel as a last minute change of plans. It is a real gem of a place!! |The room is aged, but in great condition. It is more spacious than the average motel room.|SUPER clean!! Large cupboard, great kitchenette with electric frypan, spacious bathroom and comfy beds.|Breaky left in the room was a lovely surprise!! There was yoghurt, juice, cereal and toast and condiments. Absolute bargain for Only $133!!! We had a little bit of noise from the pub, but the rooms block noise well. Meals were great!!

Very clean, with comfy beds, spacious rooms, very friendly, beautiful little garden/pool area. Great access to the hotel with great food, and again, very friendly staff. Will definitely recommend it to everyone and will be back. Apart from the small leak in the bathroom, I would have given this Motel full 5 stars on everything.
