We had a great little session here yesterday afternoon after lunch at Cascade. Friendly service, solid tap list (and wine list too). Snacked on pop corn chicken and played a version of trivial pursuit, the perfect little afternoonπŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Moderate walk from the dock, past a few pubs and shops, leads you to Shambles.
I question why it's so quiet, as the beverage selection is large and the staff amenable and knowledgeable.
Ignore the ghost town vibes of north Hobart, get an Uber, rent a scooter or walk, as it's got some great tunes and better beer.
Look I didn't do food as I'm a beer fella. So get in, and get some beer. Perhaps even some food.
Certain this place goes off of a night time.
Big hand to the crew at Shambles, and as I say, " you can live without love, but you can't live without beer!!"

Lovely staff and awesome food. Atmosphere is good and various number of craft beers which I loved the most. There was a TT table which the kids enjoyed.

I love their dance with hops IPA. Generally their beers really suit my taste buds and how I like my beer. They know how to do IPAs.

also really like the design of the place. 15 dollar for a tasting pedal of 4.

It's quite harsh that they wanna remove ur balls if you break some table tennis rules.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and had a great time. Everything we ordered was hot, fresh, delicious and served quickly. We tried some of the beers and ciders and they were delicious too.
There's indoor and outdoor seating, and the inside is nice and warm and perfect for a cold winter afternoon.
Absolutely do not miss the cayenne peanuts, they are amazing and if I ever come to Hobart again, I'll be stopping by Shambles directly after the airport to buy them by the kilo.
Also, the social media person is very helpful and responsive!!

Counter service. Great location on Elizabeth, close to the CBD.

Flights/paddles available for any 4. All pretty good beers. I tried 5 different ones (got a can after the paddle of 4).

Popcorn chicken was very good! crispy and well seasoned on the outside, and chicken not overcooked on the inside.

Lots of seating for 1+ (larger tables could easily accommodate 6-8 if not busy)

Friendly staff!

Would come again!

This is a great place for craft beer. Today we decided to have lunch instead. The menu offers burgers, salads, variations of chips and other food that would do well with beers. We ordered the Fried Chook Burger and Fish and Chips. The chips are crispy and nicely done. We will return for drinks and food.
