A glorious stay in fantastic Samadhi cottage ( although that seems an understatement) the expansive deck/bbq & spa were all enjoyed. The bedroom was delightful & the proximity to beach / wave sounds made our stay that extra special. A 3 night stay just left us hungry for more. We will return.
Thank you Rachel & our best regards to the brush turkeys- who are really quite chilled albeit imposing birds

I am very disappointed with my stay in the Shiva room. Initially, it seemed like a lovely room with a great atmosphere. However, when the blinds were lowered, they proved to be completely transparent, lacking privacy. Other guests could see directly into the lounge room and bedroom, which was quite concerning.

I am unsure why the issue with the blinds couldn't be fixed, especially considering that blinds are generally affordable. It would have been a simple solution to ensure guest privacy.

Furthermore, I was disappointed to find that we were only provided with two towels for the entire duration of our trip. Moreover, in the cooler months, the towels remained constantly damp, which was quite uncomfortable.

In addition to these issues, I noticed a significant amount of dust behind the bed and bedside cabinets. It seemed like the unit hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in some time.

Overall, my experience in the Shiva room fell short of my expectations, and I am left feeling very disappointed.

What an absolute slice of heaven. The retreat was everything and more! The rooms were amazing and each fitted with Air conditioning. Everything was clean and tidy. 5/5 the communication with the owners were top tier, they were very accommodating to pur late arrival and late check out.

Had a beautiful couple of night's in the 'Sarita' cottage. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Shambhala location is fabulous, right on the beach and less than 5mins from the town. The cottage was very warm and inviting.. lot's of natural light and everything you could possibly need. The staff are friendly and helpful.. and completely leave you alone to just chill and enjoy the space.
All the cottage's have their own private spa and the grounds are well maintained with timber walk ways leading you from your bungalow to the beach.
I will definitely be back.
Hopefully soon and hopefully often.

Great location and secure.
The shower would completely flood the bathroom floor and into and across the floor of the bedroom…..which we had to use all our beach towels and some to soak up water…..what is super disappointing is this is already mentioned in previous reviews and not yet fixed….I would hate to see someone slip over during the night to the bathroom.
Half the unit is in full view for everyone to view in from the main path passing 2 meter in front of the floor to ceiling windows.
I feel it’s overpriced.
We were a late arrival so never got to meet manager….but the lead up to booking and arrival was super organised professional friendly and easy to checkin.

We stayed in the Shanti Villa for 3 nights and it was amazing. The location is too great to detail, felt very exclusive. The beach was so private and perfect. The views were great. Our room came with a private deck with cabana and amazing views, bear in mind though the villa is down the hill nestled in the Balinese themed naturescape with a wonderful long bridge and stairs connecting it to the deck and beach.

The location is stunning, however sadly that’s where most of the positives end. Stayed in the Shanti retreat. For the price we expected luxury, instead it felt not clean, the layout cramped and furniture uncomfortable. The poor design upstairs with the low ceilings had us bumping our heads in the two bedrooms and bathroom. While the property is private, you don’t feel like you have privacy while inside, we had to keep the curtains drawn mostly as people could walk past and peer straight in. The garden is lovely, and the proximity to the beach is wonderful but the stairs leading down are steep and narrow. I am sure Shambhala was beautiful once, but now it’s just tired and in desperate need of some TLC, a decent clean and a move away from the dark colours that were a little depressing. This is a three star accommodation at best pretending to be 5 star as advertised.
