My husband and I had our wedding at Shambala Estate, and it was absolutely spectacular in November last year! From the seamless service to the stunning venue, buffet was delicious and just everything went smoothly and exceeded our expectations. Bi & Jaegarr are so great at what they do, loved their service. The team went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Highly recommend! ✨

❗️Wedding Disaster ❗️

To say we’re disappointed and extremely angry and frustrated is an understatement. We decided on Shambala for our wedding venue back at the start of 2024 and everything was going according to plan.

But just 2 months away from our big day we came to find out that the venue had made changes to the place without notifying us or at the very least seem genuinely apologetic that our vision for our big day had been drastically altered. They told us it was “unreasonable” and “impractical” to consult with all guests before making changes.

We do NOT expect any notifications for the tiniest of changes of course, but the changes were not minor and the fact that that was not at the very least MENTIONED to us via email, was what bothered us! There are plenty of bulk email subscriptions one can use (I.e. mailchimp) that can easily send out emails for just this scenario!

So for couples who are extremely detail-oriented - be very mindful as these guys can make big changes without transparency …

While they did suggest some solutions to address certain changes and allow parts of our event to continue, not all areas were covered, and this ultimately forced us to cancel at the last minute, which inconvenienced both us and our guests.

We are also losing out on a lot of money which they are keeping - not even offering to help compensate or at the very least show compassion for our situation.

This experience has most definitely left us questioning their commitment to customer service, considering this venue has been operating for more than 10 years.

Despite this, the lovely ladies Bi and Jaegarr are wonderful people and definitely do a good job and the team were helpful leading up to the day. This was just an unfortunate occasion.

We hope that this is an opportunity for the venue to grow and to stay true to their motto of “turning your wedding dreams into a reality” …. because that illusion expired as soon as we started having issues !

Weddings are extremely emotional and financial commitments, and we hope that Shambala recognise and consider that for any future weddings before this happens again.

I got married here and it was such a lovely experience.

The wedding coordinators are so amazing and accommodating. I think they made my wedding day flow so well and made everyone feel relaxed throughout the event.

The gardens are beautiful for photos and the chapel and reception areas are so spacious and stunning!

The accommodation is beautiful and good to stay in for the wedding.

Couldn’t recommend them enough. Their packages are also so inclusive, it takes the stress out of organising things like a dj, catering, bar, decorating and more!

We had the best day celebrating our wedding at Shambala. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much, and we had the day of our dress. Bi and Lisa were so professional and helped guide us in all areas. The food was delicious, and the gardens are spectacular at all hours. The fact we could have our fur babies present was an extra special element. We can't wait to go back to celebrate our anniversary next year!

With 10 friends we organised a retreat of 3 days and stayed at the property. The staff looked after us for lunches and diners and provided an amazing space for our group of warm, heart-centered and awake, maturely aged people (professionals in daily work-life). The space was very well equipped, a wonderful room to be in, share thoughts, ideas, develop community and just enjoy being together. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The food served was amazingly fresh (collected at a variety of eco-farms early morning), healthy and made with so much love!!! I can only highly recommend this retreat / wedding venue for any event, weekend stay (or week stay) as it is such a pleasure and enjoyment to be there. You will leave refreshed and have enjoyed it immensely.

It was amazing falling asleep to the sound of raindrops and waking up to the sound of birds rustling through the green leaves, a very relaxing place to stay on a weekend away. Comfy beds, a big spa bath, beautiful back deck to sit for a cup of tea and only 2 minutes from the main town. Beautiful gardens to traverse, very happy to have stayed here 🙏

So impressed by this venue. Such magical grounds, immaculately kept gardens, many interesting features throughout.

The accommodation was stunning, HUGE two person spa, fire place, self-contained kitchen and private deck. My cottage was super private and the bird life was stunning.

The property is also a wedding and function venue, you would be so happy if you booked here. The staff are incredibly helpful, nothing is too much.

We have had a wedding for my son just several days ago at this estate. We loved it! The real tell tell sign of how good they were, was after the event, when all the money was paid and Shambala could have easily said that we are done now (and have been within their rights) . But no, Shambala went the extra mile and explained the final account with much kindness and grace and showed a very generous spirit. Highly impressed with your integrity and kindness.
