Sunday roast was served on a bed of raw baby spinach. Lamb was tough and dry. Last time the pork was similar. Very disappointing. But the pub is good neighbourhood vibes. New owner recently hope they make Sunday roast better and less like meals on wheels.

This is an excellent local community pub. Friendly service, good beer. I didn't eat, but those with me said the food was good too - bar food. Well located on the light rail line.

Spent 2 night
Dark dank mouldy
Overpriced
Gross toilets with floors that feel like you will fall thru.
Rude night staff denied me water from the bar 5 minutes before last call.
Manager was really lovely he needs a raise!!!!
Get your life together whoever owns this place and shut it down its unrepairable with missing windows and door handles rust everywhere paint is peeling everywhere
None of the chairs could be sat on due to the age and condition.
Save your money and go elsewhere
I'm angry and disappointed ?

Great little pub. Good homely atmosphere. Staff were great. Good prices on beer. Lunch special was great value and the rump (med rare) was cooked right on point. Meat was tender. Going back there for sure. Not far from Central Railway Station, within walking distance.

Great old pub vibes. We booked a room upstairs for book club on the same night as trivia and there was no interruption at all.

Food was fast and yummy. Vibes were good!

Amazing experience. We had sunset drinks on the balcony overlooking the Tree of Knowledge, delicious dinner in the dining room and cheered the women’s maroons team on in the bar. Sharon and her team were very accommodating, especially to all of the kids we were travelling with.

Good quality old fashioned hotel. Where most pubs have been removed and "sanitised " this original pub is the exception. Goodbpub food ,reasonably priced and great local clientele. Weekly pub food specials. Tuesday steak night and trivia.

First time here. Pretty cool little place. Affordable beers and the option to drink out the front on the footpath is pretty cool. Not many places left like this. Get in while you can. Extra chuffed about the projector showing the cricket on the neighbouring building. Nothing like sport on the big screen ?
