Ashley and Paolo-Andrea are very friendly, thoughtful hosts with an exquisitely appointed home. The themed rooms have been decorated to a high standard with love, care and artistic flair. We stayed in the Pacific Room which was super comfortable and perfect for our 2-night stay. Paolo-Andrea showed us the other rooms – the Italian Room and the Chinese Room which were even larger. The continental breakfast was excellent, and weather permitting is served outside on a leafy garden terrace with lovely views of the lake with Eastern Water Dragons and Milo the Lagotto Romagnolo for company. This is highly recommended for those who enjoy homestays and appreciate art!

We had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful house. We were welcomed by Paolo and Ashley who were fantastic hosts. Stunning views of lake, which was nice to walk around on suggestion of hosts.. room was beautiful and clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely. Couldnt have asked for better accommodation. Very quiet and chilled stay which was perfect.Will stay again and happy to recommend it.

We couldn't have asked for more. These guys were amazing in their hospitality. They have a beautiful home and our room had this great south seas feel about it. Both Ashley and Paolo-Andrea are so knowledgeable about the Sunshine Coast and this helped us immensely as it was our first time here. The self-service continental breakfast was great and it gave us time to have a good laugh with these guys. If I could give the guys and their home 6 stars I certainly wouldn't hesitate. They suggested that we walk around the lake which we did and it was an enjoyable 20 min casual walk. A return visit in the future is certainly on the cards for us. Keep up the great work guys and thanks for everything. All the best.

Stayed for 4 nights as it was close to where I had my business meetings. Great room and facilities. Ashley and Paolo were guest hosts and asking for an earlier time for breakfast was no hassle for them. I have already recommend their homestay to friends. Good luck guys and keep up the good work for some of us travellers need a friendly place to stay that isn't a run of mill generic hotel. I'll be back.

This was our second stay with Paolo-Andrea and Ashley. We didn't think our first visit could be topped - but alas, the guys made us feel even more at home and even more welcome. Choosing which room to stay in was the only difficult decision. We stayed in the 'Italian' themed room again - but the others are just as amazing. This was definitely the best Home stay that we have stayed and we have stay in many around the world. Ashley and Paolo were very accommodating to our requirements, a quiet room, and couldn't have been better hosts. Thank you for the warm friendly reception on our arrival. Their lovely home and our room was clean and very comfortable. We have rebooked the room for 3 nights in 2 months time. 10 STARS!!! Location PERFECT!!! Friendly Service PERFECT!!! Cleanliness PERFECT!!!! Covid Safety Measures PERFECT!!! My husband and I were made to feel like "royalty" throughout our stay. I have never stayed anywhere else that has made me feel so special. Ashley and Paolo went above and beyond to make our stay grander than any famous 5star hotel would ever offer. Serenity on the Lake is a B and B, with off street parking. It really defies description as it is the atmosphere that makes it such a treasure. It is, as the name implies, situated alongside a lake, with a board walk separating it from the water. From the outside, it is as though you are visiting a home in the Italian countryside. From the moment you arrive, the front doors open and you are warmly welcomed by both Paolo- Andrea and Ashley, to enjoy their home. You become an honoured guest, not just a traveller.|Once inside, you are struck by the decor, which is both unique and appealing.|Upstairs are the 3 rooms available for guests, the Chinese Room, the Italian Room which overlooks the water, and the South Pacific Room which I stayed in. Each room tells a cultural tale. Next time I shall indulge myself in the mysteries of the Chinese Room.|Outside, the surrounds have been beautifully and tastefully landscaped. Chairs abound for a quiet read outside.. A continental breakfast is on offer with an array of cereals, fruit, toast, jams, orange juice, tea and coffee on hand.|This is an ideal place for mature adults to unwind or pause whilst on a journey. It is not for children, and eateries are not too far away by car. it is ideal for a solo traveller as well as for couples. I can't wait to return and enjoy the magic all over again. An aside. The whole home sparkled with cleanliness, serenity and peace.
