They were really nice but the normal nail polish is patchy and started chipping as soon as I left. I also asked for a dark Burgundy red but they gave me a light red that didn’t look good.

Title: A Nail Nightmare

I recently decided to treat myself to a manicure at selected nails, and I can honestly say it was the worst experience I've ever had, the staff seemed more interested in finishing their tasks quickly than providing any actual service.

The technician assigned to me was rushing through the process like she was on a race against time. She barely acknowledged my presence and seemed annoyed. Instead of a relaxing experience, it felt like I was on an assembly line.

To make matters worse, the acrylic application was a disaster. She left globs of acrylic all over my skin, making my fingers look like a messy art project gone wrong. I ended up with more acrylic on my cuticles than on my nails, and it was painfully obvious. I left the salon feeling like I needed a full spa day just to recover from this so-called manicure.

On one side of my hand you can notice (in the pictures) that my nails are straight and the other side the nails are crooked, I stated that my nails looked a bit wonky to the lady and she tried to convince me that that’s how my fingers are as if I don’t know my own body.

Instead of coming out looking polished and fabulous, I walked out feeling embarrassed and frustrated. My nails looked worse than when I walked in, and I couldn't shake the feeling of roughness from the technician's hurried work. It was a complete waste of time and money.

If you're looking for a place to relax and get your nails done properly, I highly recommend you steer clear of Selected Nails. Save your money and your sanity—this place is a nail disaster waiting to happen!

I still go even though I no longer live in the area and my mum comes from the hills for their spa pedis!

They run in an unhygienic place, not paying attention to details not caring enough, bookings are disorganised there is no actual availability but they book u anyway and u need to wait minimum of half an hour to be sitted. having a rough touch, working on different customers at the same time, extremely poor communication with customer, and rudely speaking non English with each other in front of customers

The girls at selected nails do Absolutely amazing job with my nails everytime & when im due for my refills i still have all 10x nails i never have an issue with them lifting.
Would definitely recommend them ! Not only do they do a great job, there well priced & always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome 🙂

I have been to a few different nail salons in Adelaide and this is the best. Amy is great, so meticulous and great attention to detail with sns and shellac styles. I always get a pedicure and it’s so relaxing. At one of my appointments I received a phone call that my grandfather had passed and Amy was so comforting and kind. She offered to drive me home and go out of her way to ensure I got home safely. I advised her that was lovely but unnecessary so she insisted that I text her to let her know I got home ok. A wonderful, kind gesture for a client ❤️ this meant so much to me. I love the way she does my nails, I never have any problems with breakages. Highly recommend.
