We planned to re-visit Trelisses / Secret Garden after our initial visit just after it changed hands 14 months ago, and did so recently. We were welcomed again with great warmth, and again made to feel like extended family, including transport to and from our dining restaurant. Progress with re-furbishment has been significant, but slow due to many un-foreseen defects, and a long dry winter has taken its toll on the gardens. Our room (The old Francesca Room) was now modern, with clean-cut lines, light colourings, totally comfortable bed and bedding, a large bathroom complete with spa bath and separate shower, totally comfortable bed and bedding, large windows with access onto the balcony and air-conditioning rather than wood-fire (I’m not sure this is an improvement, but much, much easier). The Sitting Rooms both had roaring fires when we arrived home from dinner, one with a TV running. Breakfast in the Conservatory with eggs and bacon and much else was a great start to the day with good food and bright conversation around the room. Thanks again to Jo and family. We look forward to return again.

We had a lovely stay at Trellises which is a warm and welcoming guest house set in lush gardens. There were so many small personal touches including a special 'happy anniversary' sign, cold water with lemons at night and lovely posies of flowers from the garden. Trellises has so much to offer, you need a weekend to do it justice. The perfect get away, made so pleasant by our host Teah. Treat yourselves!

Trellises is a lovely home away from home. we have stayed there several times over the years and always enjoyed the peace & quiet, the beautiful lush gardens, the stately house with its fireplaces, many books & cozy lounge rooms... and of course Teah's wonderful, warm hospitality. Thank you Teah for making our Anniversary stays so comfortable.

Just a short distance off the main road lies a little bit of old-world magic tucked away in an acre of lush, secluded gardens. The lovely old weather-board home was extended into a Guest House with 12 bedrooms, many with spas these days and opening onto verandas. There are common rooms and function rooms as well.||Trellises has just changed hands. The new owners, Jo, Allan and Emma took possession less than a month ago. We were the first guests to arrive into a work in progress, and were astounded to see what they had achieved in such a short time. They are rapidly removing the old Edwardian veneer and dragging the grand old lady into the 21st Century. (Unfortunately, stripping away the veneer has revealed many underlying problems; they are discovering a major opus.).The Sitting Rooms have been converted and our bedroom, the old Tartan Room, was well under way. The rest of the bedrooms are in the process of being stripped down. We were given "open house" to explore throughout at will. I had images in my mind's eye from the old website, so could appreciate the work in progress.||The Chandlers made us feel like extended family, and Jo's cooking is pretty good, so we look forward to returning in Spring next year to see the work completed and the garden in full bloom.

We stayed for just one night at The Secret Garden, travelling to Kurrajong for a wedding. The location is absolutely stunning and it's a lovely B&B with huge amounts of charm. What made it most special was the incredible kindness of the owners who could not do enough for us during the stay. Transporting us to and from the wedding, accommodating our timing - we'd definitely look forward to going back if we are in that part of the world and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Amazing Place and the best Service you will ever get. It's picture perfect with fireplaces in common areas, a lovely sun room, ponds and lovely nature around. |The rooms are sparkling clean with fireplaces and bathtub -also discrete tv and CD player.|There is a great selection of music and the homemade food it's delicious! |We went for a weekend away and we felt fully renovated after our stay.|Highly recommended!

We attended a wedding in the area this weekend and found out at the last minute that our original accommodation was overbooked. We made a booking at another hotel in the area online, only to find on arrival that checkin closed hours earlier. At 11pm we scoured the internet looking for somewhere to sleep (other than our car) and mercifully a wonderful lady at the guest house answered our call for help. ||We arrived at midnight to be met by the most lovely, caring lady who offered my partner a warm robe and a cup of coffee. We are so thankful for turning what could have been a cold miserable night into a heart warming story that was relayed to our friends the very next day. ||The guest house was warm and comfortable in gorgeous surroundings, but the lingering memory for us will be how we were welcomed and treated during our short but memorable stay. ||Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Trellises is perfect for a relaxing vacation in the mountains. It oozes old world charm, complete with pianola in the parlour, a library full of books and games and is surrounded by delightful gardens full of quiet seating areas. Above all, the hostess makes you feel like an old friend returning home. Couldn't find a better spot.
