Searipple is the worst camp I've stayed at in my 16 years of FIFO.The food is just cheap mass produced slop.
They must be operating on $2 per head budget.
My room was serviced once in 3 weeks during my swing.
There is grey water leaking directly onto the ground from broken pipes on most of the accommodation blocks.
The laundry blocks are an absolute joke.
Broken and damaged washing machines and dryers in every laundry. The laundries themselves haven't been cleaned in about 10 years.
Management informed but the machines are never repaired or replaced.
The camp is littered with rubbish, dirty linen and empty beer bottles.
Dead and dying plants and grass everywhere.
I have personally seen rats running around out the front of people's rooms.
There is no fitted sheets on the beds and the quilt covers arent big enough for the quilt so it hangs out the end so you're having to fight with that everytime you go to sleep.
Curtains have massive holes so they let all the light in.
The gym is small and can't accommodate more than 6 people at a time.
Overall the only positive is the closeness to town.
If you are staying here on the Perdaman project I feel for you.
0/5 Camp!

Did not clean my room the entire ten day swing. Appalling service! I was absolutely disgusted at this, treated basically like an animal. Food was ok, ISS definitely are at the lowest end of the mine camp service provision. A couple of the staff are extremely rude also. Laundry service is lacklustre at best, two hours wait for a machine after 14 hours off site leads to fatigued workers the next day.

Worst camp I have stayed in. Room not cleaned until after I raised it twice. Supposed to be weekly, 12 nights before they finally did it.

The linen and towels must be twenty years old, stained, frayed and disgusting.

Doona cover torn with the pretty rank looking doona poking out all out the end.

Don’t get me started on the laundry facilities. Absolutely woeful.

For the price it costs to stay here you are definitely not getting your moneys worth

We raised a concern with the management, but the response was simply that there was no solution. There was a clear lack of empathy or willingness to understand our situation. Very disappointing customer service. For some friends a lot of ants on the room, air conditioning doesn't work and a lack of comprehension from the management

Rooms are clean and big with double beds , fridge, kettle and microwaves. The camp itself is old and the numbering of the rooms is crazy. Shop at the camp is very small with hardly anything in it probably because its so close to the shops in town. The wetness and dining room is a decent size. Food is abit hit and miss. Camp traffic is busy. The parking at the front of camp is always full but there is plenty car parking around the camp for everyone. The actually grounds of the camp could be maintained more.

i dont know why but I feel the neeto explain why im so harsh on my review
. Because these mining companies love to flex and show their latest camp on the news that nobody other than corporate office staff ever see the inside of meanwhile the workers that help make their record proffits gett into neglected run down mining camps with no money put towards upgrading it at all and the workers are coming back from behind over worked on long rosters and its honestly that depressing some times I don’t blame the multiple fifo workers that committed suicide up here (Ok so the food at this camp is slowly but surely getting a lot better and the staff here are actually very friendly and are trying to improve the service so only time will tell if the accommodation or the fly out day shower start improving as the shower i used on my last rnr had urine pissed on the floor and piss on the floor and no cleaning had been done at all so im thinking i may have to fly home in my work uniform and shower in perth rather than catching something and getting sick at this camp as they wont let us use the shower in our room before flying out but if anything does improve i will update this review and slowly increase the rating so only time will tell)
Location is good close to town and the beach, depending on what side of camp your on depends on how u feel about this place if you are in the new rio Tinto rooms you will probably like it here but unfortunately we are in the side of camp that should probably be condemned until some serious work has been done to bring it up to standard. Food is good but the health standards here are sub standard especially when they force you to check out in the morning and expect 100 people to re use the same showers in a tiny shower block without cleaning and this is extremely surprising since Morse respectable camps either provide enough showers to accommodate the volume of people or allow guests to use their accommodation showers to avoid any health issues especially after the pandemic and generall lack of hygiene on these overcrowded camps all in all it’s ok here just don’t expect to much and you won’t be disappointed. I recently had the misfortune of losing my room keys and was informed that they would charge $75 to cut a new key even though they cut their own keys on premises, please don’t be a fool and accept this charge it is absolutely disgusting and corporate greed at its finest they prey on your misfortune to make money off of you if you go to the karatha shopping centre with your spare key there is a key shop that will cut a new one for $10 the shop is called keyspot services. This camp has the potential to be amazing camp with it’s location and amenities but corporate greed is all the camp providers care about and there is no customer service you are just the scum that is unlucky enough to be put up in the accommodations by your company as it’s cheaper than going to a quality camp

.. in the same breath the employees of the camp provider are amazing and try their best but unfortunately as proffits come before quality for their employer there isn’t much they can do with the tools/budget they are given so hats off to all the amazing workers that work at this camp but don’t expect a great deal as the rooms are pretty miserable and run down and other than the noght meal service the food is below average for your crib and breckfast and if you have any maintenance requests for lights not working or anything wrong with your room except to wait days before you get any service so in a nutshell if you’re paying for accommodation yourself then go anywhere other than here but if you’re company is paying the bill then unfortunately you’re in for a mediocre experience but on the bright side you’re only a short walk to the sporting and recreational club across the road where pints of beer are cheaper than happy hour in perth so you can drown your disappointment in icy cold beer without bereaking the bank
. You can get 9 pints for the same price as a replacement key costs at sea ripple so what a bloody bargain hahaha
