We stayed in the Head LighthouseKeepers Cottage with 2 other couples for 4 nights.
Had an brilliant stay! So relaxing & just chilled out.
The hospitality from Julie & Rebecca was amazing.
We saw whales !

We stayed in the Head Lighthouse keepers cottage to celebrate a relatives 90th birthday. It was truly magical. Our family just had the best weekend.
The cottage was warm and welcoming. The kitchen was well appointed with quality appliances.
The bedrooms were also beautiful the beds were so comfortable and everything you needed was there.
The dining room and lounge were so gorgeous and provided a beautiful space for entertaining.
There was a great barbecue and the outdoor setting was just perfect. Everything was well-maintained.
The views from the verandah are spectacular as you can imagine.
There is also a gorgeous sunroom inside the cottage where you can sit and watch the whales and dolphins glide past.
The views from the front bedrooms are also very special.
All of our family are looking forward to when we spend time at the Lighthouse cottages again.
To be so close to the Lighthouse and to be immersed in the lights at night was an unforgettable experience.

5 stars for a sunny day, but 1 star for a rainy one. It’s a great place to chill and be away from the civilization, stunning views and gorgeous walkways. However I found some disadvantages for families with kids.
Location: it’s 100% remote and you need to drive a very long distance yo get to any medical center.
Rain: if it’s raining, you are stuck in the cottage as the weather gets just miserable.
Dingo: there is a sign warning you about dingoes, we saw one on the beach “Not scared of humans at all”. We didn’t let kids play in the backyard although it was very nice.
Stairs: the stairs at the cottage are made of rocks and they are not toddlers friendly.
Wind: there is a very strong wind up there and you can hear it all night as the windows are too old.
Cottage: if it’s raining, the water gets inside from some of the windows and the floor in different areas gets wet. The kitchen is equipped with fantastic appliances and TV room is cosy with a cabinet full of fun DVDs. It really feels like you are the lighthouse keeper!
Parking: you can’t park your car at the cottage and imagine it’s raining heavily, you need to park 100 meters down from the cottage and walk up a super steep slippery road back.
Gate: it’s manually locked and imagine you need to get off your car in the heavy rain, open the gate and lock it after your car is in.
Food: there was almost no food in the cottage and the closest shop was 30 minutes drive away.

My partner and I had an absolutely magical stay here! We loved the unique and historical aspects of the cottages and were pleasantly surprised at how spacious they were! The views and area are just phenomenal as well. You can't beat watching a sunrise or sunset from the lighthouse! If you're looking for a quirky and historical place to stay whilst also being able to unplug, relax, and get away from it all, this is certainly the place. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, the facilities were great (the kitchen is massive!), and there's plenty of places to sit and take in the views. It's also very private with only 3 cottages being up there, so no noise or traffic to worry about, just the sound of the ocean and the wind! We will definitely stay here again!

We recently stayed for 4 nights at the Assistant Keeper's Cottage. The cottage is in a prime location with a beautiful view of the sea. Absolutely loved watching the sunsets with a cup of tea. It was so relaxing to wake up to the melodious sounds of local birds. Had some great encounters with local wildlife (Dingo, Lace Monitors, Kookaburra, Robins, Dolphins, Snakes, Crabs, Eagles, and Pelicans). Get to watch the beautiful full Lunar Eclipse in clear skies and the amazing Sunrise. Julie was great in giving us the information.

I think I could travel the whole world and this place would still be in my top 3 favourite spots- It's magic. The light display at night is mind blowing. The cottages are immaculately maintained and have lovely comfy beds and fresh bed linen. You are immersed in nature with wildlife and stunning views all around.
