Stunning spot and possibly my favourite beach ever just metres from the door. Wonderful spot to chill and use as a base to explore Flinders Island. Excellent collection of books too!

We have stayed at the shacks several times and always love it! The location is superb with stunning views of the coastline and mount Strzelecki in the distance. |It’s also only 10 minutes to Whitemark for supplies and the best coffee, cakes and savoury snacks at “Cate Cooks” tuck shop. A small modern beach shack with amazing views. Secluded and private. Central location to explore the island.|The beach is 100 metres from the shack and at high tide the water is wonderful for swimming. The kangaroos, birds and stars at night were memorable.

The Sawyers Bay shacks are situated on a large incredible private property, in a truly superb waterfront setting. You are surrounded by nature, have free access to an amazing coastline and get treated to sunset views and wildlife visits nightly. The open glass feel to the living spaces, and large surrounding decks complete with deckchairs and bean bags give you a wonderful amount of space to relax in and enjoy. The location is only 10 mins from the island centre and well situated to explore all the myriad of charms and amazing locations the island has to offer. The fireplace works wonderfully and adds a lot of atmosphere and was well set up and ready to go. I can't wait to get back!

Sawyers Bay Shacks is the perfect place to relax and commune with nature in a beach side island retreat. The fire is a wonderful addition to this property as are the decks, the BBQ and the close proximity to the beach where sea eagles circle and bird life is plentiful. This property will suit a large family or blended mob who enjoy reading, walking, bird watching, cooking, beach combing and swimming. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking up a storm and the beds comfortable and warm. The views are spectacular and the sunsets and rises superb.

It was an amazing experience. The shacks were situated in a fantastic position, were meticulously presented and relaxing. Definitely appreciated the books on hand - and the games ! - we shall definitely be back - I thoroughly recommend Sawyers Bay Shacks to anyone who wishes to explore Flinders Island - you will not be disappointed.

Sawyers bay shacks Flinders Island was a dream destination, from the perfect private shack equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable, the breathtaking views from the mountains meeting with the sea, cosy double sided fireplace to enjoy inside and out ,private beach to explore, picture perfect!! Sharing this view with the wallabies, wombats and beautiful birds. It is a must to visit here, it is a well kept secret, a most magnetic place, cant wait to book our next totally relaxing getaway..

Stunningly beautiful, relaxing, private place to come back to after a day of exploring the glories of Flinders Island!
Location is unbeatable - short drive to Whitemark for shopping whilst giving sense of isolation and peace. Centrally located on the island so that all destinations are easily reachable. Extremely comfortable facilities with very well equipped kitchen; glorious view from living area and both indoor and outdoor dining areas.
Perfect private beach, with wonderful walks in either direction.
Can't recommend highly enough, and can't wait to return!!!
