We were in a bind and needed accommodation asap and we were greeted with open arms by Karen and Scott. There was nothing that they wouldn’t do for us . Nothing was needed by us but Karen asked every day if we needed anything . There’s a donation washing machine and dryer , a beautiful pool , fish cleaning table and boiler to use for your mud crabs, there’s even a freezer for your fish scraps.
Accommodation was neat and tidy and serviced our needs 100% . We had TV and a mini kitchen that supplied the basics . Across the road from the mouth of the Norman River on the waters edge and a 50 metre walk to the famous Karumba Point Sunset Tavern .
You can sit out the front in the morning with a coffee where your day will begin and in the evening watch the most amazing sunsets !
We entered as guests and left as friends .

The Owners are amazing. Location couldn't be better! We arrived in August 2021 for the first time in Karumba. We were going to stay in our roof top camper but decided to find a unit. These little units are on the water and basically a 30 meter walk to the tavern. So we walked around back to ring office bell. No one there rang the phone number and a lovely lady answered the phone. She said she was at the tavern for lunch and would be over in 5 minutes. She arrived in 3 minutes and said I have 1 room left but had to walk to your own bathroom. Price was very reasonable and we said we would take it and she said here's the key, come see us later on this afternoon and fix us up then. And she said goodbye and back to the pub.

Very easy to deal with and great location as you get to have a few drinks when the sun goes down at the tavern and walk 30 metres back to the unit 🙂 Clean & Friendly place. Love it and would go and stay there again when we do another trip.

Stayed 09/22. Great place if your on a motorbike. We parked our bikes right next to the room. Had a shared laundry. The place is a bit old but it was nice and clean and the owners were heaps friendly. Only about a 40m walk to the Sunset Tavern.

A really clean and well run motel in a great position. Spacious room clean and nice touches. Pool provided towels for swims, helpful staff who go an extra mile. Rooms spacious, hot water and plenty of cooking facilities. Felt the accommodation offered value for money and right next to a good pub and the beautiful shores of Karumba
