Hi,
I cannot speak of the accomodation, cleanliness of rooms or any other services outside of the restaurant facilities.

But I did attend your outdoor eatery tonight and have done on previous occasions.

What I can say is that after one or two drinks I do not need the pressure of each individual waiter or waitress busting my ass to put an order in every ten minutes.
I understand they’re trying to help the patron, but an in and out flipper isn’t the meal model that people are interested in.

Nothing negative, just some feedback.

Now… I had an absolute GEM of a waitress care for us tonight, who mind u… only asked us the one time whether we were ready to order yet.

She served us with a fantastic smile each and every time and ensured we were looked after to the absolute max.

Her name was Paulie (the American I believe) . I suggest you give her a pat on the back, as she made our experience rotate a complete 180 degree turn as she has done a few times before.

As always, a great experience due to waitresses like these.

Cheers,

Mick

The restaurant service was terrible. We went early and there were only 3 tables occupied including us. After waiting for 15 minutes I found someone to take our order. Another 10 minutes for two glasses of wine. Twenty five minutes later I found a waitress and our meals were brought out cold. Obviously they had been cooked, then left sitting in the kitchen until I asked for them. We used to love staying here and the restaurant was excellent. Sadly, we’ll stay at the Contour in future.

Spent a night in one of the motel rooms last week , when driving out the following morning I noticed one of the buildings ( maintenance shed I think )
had been crushed by a large tree ,I mentioned this in conversation to a resident of Katherine later that day and they said the tree had fallen 2 months ago and nobody had bothered to remove it!
while it didn't appear to be a danger to anyone , it certainly wasn't a good look for the hotel.

We stayed in a double bed cabin with a bunk bed for kids. Air conditioning was fabulous & all utensils were supplied. Even had a microwave. Only thing was the private shower & toilet block was separated. No insect repellent supplied. The pool was a short walk away, was lovely & cool. Restaurant menu was limited as my partner wanted spaghetti carbonara which was not supplied. However, the chef did make a tomato and onion salad which was requested. Wine was good but overpriced and expensive.

The cabin was exactly as expected, we had a fabulous and peaceful sleep. Shower was great, staff were really friendly and helpful. We booked our Katherine Gorge boat trip as soon as we arrived and the lady on reception couldn’t have been more helpful with this. We ate at the on site restaurant for both nights and the food was lovely. We’d stay there again if we revisited Katherine. Maybe a little updating required but we didn’t mind this

Dated, dirty rooms, smelly ensuites, rude reception staff who could not speak English very well and TVs don’t work well in rooms. Completely overpriced. Unfortunately in Katherine there is not a great choice of safe places away from the town centre, so that was the only reason we stayed there.

I've stayed at this inn a few times for work and, despite the slightly overpriced food, I was satisfied enough to recommend it to a friend for our upcoming trip. However, after our recent experience, I can no longer do that.

An emergency situation arose, and my friend was hospitalized, which forced us to put our plans on hold. Although the booking was made through an agency, I thought it would be courteous to inform the inn directly of the circumstances.

The interaction was far from pleasant. The staff member I spoke with was dismissive and unhelpful, cutting me off by saying I should contact the booking agency before abruptly ending the call. I did reach out to the agency, who were kind and understanding. They explained that while they needed the inn's approval to modify or refund the booking, they were optimistic given the situation. Unfortunately, the inn rejected the request twice.

When I attempted to speak with a manager, I was met with more difficulties. Although the gentleman who answered the phone was polite, he was unable to assist due to company policy and advised me to call back later. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to reach a manager, and the booking agency also had no success in contacting them.

Then, my friend, who was still in the hospital, reached out to the inn via the booking platform, offering to provide proof of her hospitalization. The inn did not bother to respond to her message.

While I understand the need for policies regarding cancellations and refunds, the situation was an emergency, and the complete lack of empathy or willingness to assist was extremely disappointing. The dismissive and unresponsive behavior only added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time.

Ultimately, when our trip was rescheduled, we chose to bypass Katherine altogether as we refused to try and stay there again. I can no longer recommend this inn to my friends or colleagues. Businesses that operate with such a lack of compassion risk losing loyal customers.

There were curtains missing on the top bunk. I called and approached reception after no call back. They sent someone to come. The guy looked at it and we never heard or saw from him again. No apology from reception at all, they didn't care one bit. We ended up using our shorts string and beach towel to make a make shift curtain!!!
Also our outside light didn't work so we couldn't sit outside to eat.
And there were only 2 chairs for 4 guests around the inside table.
So over priced for the quality for sure.

Best things was the pool and the shower pressure.

We wouldn’t stay there again given our experience
