Avoid This Hotel
We strongly recommend steering clear of this hotel. Our experience was horrible, to say the very least. The room we booked looks nothing like what was advertised. When we enquired over the phone, we received misleading information about the hotel and its amenities. As first-time visitors to Palm Cove, we trusted their advice, which we sincerely regret.
The room we were given was unsanitary and not suitable for our needs and wasn’t what we were promised. We also discovered numerous superior and more affordable accommodation options just meters away. We therefore respectfully requested a 50% refund to vacate the hotel immediately, but the staff informed us that similar requests from other guests had been denied, advising us not to bother asking.
It was evident that the front desk staff were accustomed to handling such complaints, with scripted responses ready to go. After checking out, we requested access to our room to take photos, as suggested by the local tourism agency, but we were denied entry despite having paid in full for four nights. This treatment felt unethical and unacceptable, as we were denied access to a room we had fully paid for without any form of refund. (Therefore, all we can offer are photos of the ground floor common areas, which provide some idea)
We have reported this situation to the local tourism agency, which confirmed they have received multiple similar complaints. Please heed this warning and consider booking elsewhere.

The whole building was tired and need renovation. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi was good but there’s only one bed was available for sunbathing. Check the photos. There’s also no elevator! The price we paid for this hotel doesn’t worth at all. Seems the area in whole affected by Covid and flood and that much tourists came!

In this scenario First impressions IS everything. |You walk in the entrance and it looks like a boardinghouse. What was once a bar/cafe is a derelict eyesore with electrical wires hanging from the ceiling, yellow and black plastic tape cordoning off entrance and bikes laying everywhere. |Up in the room - being a Water front room- is technically water front. The bedroom is at the back of the unit and has no windows. No doona on the bed just a thin sheet. Blanket in the cupboard was full of dust. |Dust piling on the bed head. |Bathroom is not connected to the bedroom and the bathroom door cannot be closed so all guests can hear you and see you on the toilet. ||No lift. Only stairs with rusty railings. |Despite having a tiny pool and advertising that towels can be hired there are NO pool towels. Receptionist had to ring manager for approval to use bath towels and wanted to charge $6 per towel. |TV in the Unit next door could be heard clearly. |Cost was comparable to other places in Palm cove. Photos are very disruptive. This was not a relaxing or enjoyable holiday. |The whole place needs a refurb and new management.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!
Dust on everything including plates and bowels black mold in the toilet and bathroom made me go into hospital asked for a refund after hours and he said to wait until morning to see the girls so I said well what so I stay in there even though it’s effecting my asthma to the point I can hardly talk my voice was effected and he said nothing he can do. So I said I will go to my car he just kept repeating it over and over again saying nothing he could do then when I went back in the morning they seen me and I stepped outside from inside waiting because I couldn’t breathe and I heard them say it’s a health problem I think and continue on didn’t come check I was okay when I basically fell to the floor needing my puffers or anything so I went to the car called booking.com and left a complaint they couldn’t even get in contact with the property at this point I just called the after hours again saying they will be getting letters from my drs and that and he said he’s got nothing to do with the motel really and is just a number to call even though it says ā€œemergency after hoursā€ I am pretty sure an asthma attack is an emergency that is caused from the mold and dust my lungs have been downhill since then only can breathe in fresh and purified air at this point without coughing majorly I find it super unprofessional that he also said he didn’t say to stay till morning to see the girls when we have all the calls in our notes and even booking.com couldn’t contact them, these are some (not all) of what I have and there’s a lot more I could share but I won’t do not book!! Oh aswell as the musky smell

The only thing that is boutique about this place is the court yard by the parking. It was a terrible place to stay. Nothing like the photos. Our sheets had stains, the room smell of chemicals and we had no hot water. The room was so out dated with stains on the carpet and curtains. It was so expensive for what we got. Would never stay here again.

This hotel was both functional and at a handy location in the middle of Palm Cove. We had a 'courtyard view' room, with a sliding door opening out to a little outdoor area, but it rained all night so we kept it closed. We should have splurged for a 'mountain view' room. The room was big, with a couch and a very big TV. The bathroom was big and had a nice feel to it, with a window letting in a good amount of light and air. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The pillows were too poofy for me, and flattened under my head, so I used the small decorative cushion to sleep on which was the perfect height/firmness. The staff were friendly. It was a pity the in-house restaurant was closed - it looked pretty.

Terrible service, out dated decor. And to top if off - no WiFi in the rooms. Receptionist when one was around spoke very little English if any. I thought I was being punked. This place needs to be closed or brought out by new owners.

Affordable accommodation next to the beach. Room was awesome for the price, clean and comfy, with all the amenities. The only thing is the place probably would need a little love. The upstairs terrace was spacious and has a lot of potential, but unfortunately not well looked after. But yeah staff was super friendly and we really enjoyed our stay 😊
