We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandpiper! It’s such a beautiful quiet spot with stunning views of the lake and beach beyond. There’s plenty of space to move around and explore. Walking around this part of the lake is very easy and there’s many gorgeous vantage spots for photos. If you’re an avid photographer you will love this place. The birdlife is amazing too. Our two bedroom accommodation was clean and well equipped. Remember to bring your own towels and linen as this helps to keep the accommodation priced very reasonably I guess. We used the bbq facilities as well as the tennis court. Don & Emmy are very friendly and helpful hosts & we look forward to coming back.

Going to make this a twice a year trip. It's absolutely gorgeous. Waking up right on the water, easy to book, nice and clean and locals are so bloody friendly and helpful, I love it ?
I went for a girls week away, and can't wait to come back and bring the kids, its great for all occasions.

What a hidden gem this place is.
Situated in such a beautiful spot in Smith's Lake. We've stayed twice in the waterfront apartments and the view is absolutely stunning. If you're into fishing or just after relaxation time, this is the ideal location!
The water is really calm and just a peaceful spot.
The rooms are spacious, very clean and well equipped with everything you need.
Close to the local store, bakery, bottleshop, butcher and Cafe.
A boat ramp just down the road with a Cafe located right on the water, playground and public toilets. Beach is close by aswell.
The staff at the accommodation are very friendly and helpful.
This is my new favourite spot for a weekend away. It's really just like paradise ❤️

Couldn't ask for a better location if you are looking for something close to the water and the peace and quiet to relax . |The grounds are beautifully maintained. Right on the lake , at your front door. Grab a chair , a drink, and a book and sit by the water and completely switch off. I loved our stay here. I definitely recommend it.

What a sweet serene place ? We are an over 50's couple that have friends who live in Smith's Lake. We decided to stay here as it was close to our friends, has a couple of great cafes and the way of life is genuine and caring.
We stayed in No.11 waterfront villa for 2 nights. $180/night Friday and Saturday in May 2023. Check-in from 230pm and check out before 930am.
All appliances worked, all rooms were comfortable, kitchen large, dining table , two comfortable lounges with good tv, kids room with 3 beds, main bedroom smallish but adequate, one bathroom with shower toilet all okay. Veranda safe with outdoor table and chairs.
These villas and townhouses are all individually owned so the condition of each will vary and it is self-contained accommodation so you bring all linen and all food.
I gave 3 stars for our villa as the sea air has started to deteriorate the metal window frames, the state of furnishings is a little worn , the fridge is big and noisy at times, the toaster has rust on it but again it works and is clean.
The beds come with pillows and doonas. The main bed is a queen, innerspring and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, glassware.
In the mornings we stepped out onto lovely grass with trees and down to the water edge to look out over amazing water , trees, sandbar with pelicans, kookaburras, rosellas, lorikeets and the most peaceful outlook.
I gave four stars in total because it tucked all our boxes for 3-star accommodation. Don is a very interesting man with a kind heart who was at reception when we arrived and left.

Almost all the rooms here have a view of the lake. The place was peaceful as we were there on an offpeak weekend ..and there wasn't much crowd.
Things you need to know before you book this place
-bring your own toiletries -you only get two tiny bars of soap ..that's it.
-Bring your own towels - there is not a single a towel/bath mat
-bring your own linen-they provide your the bedding as such...but you need to bring along your pillow covers/sheets/we even took our blankets.

The place could really look into admin side of things and sort this out for guests. I don't want to pick linen when I book a room.

Apart from that..the lake is accessible and beautiful. There's bbq area and a tennis court.

Overall great location makes up for what lacks in service.

Stayed in a Water front cabin right on Smiths lake. It was spotless and equipped with everything you could need for a great holiday. We booked for 2 nights and extended to 4 because it was so lovely there. ||The only thing needed to bring was sheets and pillow cases. Everything else was provided. Thank you Don and Emmy for being lovely hosts. We will definitely be back soon hopefully.||From Julia and Remy.

Don runs a great show here, right on the lakes edge, clean and green. It has been very wet of late and I drove on the grass and got stuck late at night. I went to ask for help and he arranged a local with a 4WD to tow me out. I found out later he PAID the local chap $50 to help me - now that is pride in your business.
