Stayed at Sancreed Cottage over ANZAC weekend 2025. Second stay at Sancreed, won’t be the last. A real retreat and unique experience. Walhalla town is an adventure of stepping back in time to a bygone era and Sancreed offers all the luxury of modern living without the noise.

The host Brian is brilliant for local knowledge and provides an excellent accommodation in the best location, central Walhalla.

Attending the town ANZAC dawn service and gunfire breakfast was a truly unmatched ceremony. Unmatched in community spirit, the atmosphere and decor is unlike any other. The towns link to the Great War is also fascinating and historically interesting.

We stayed in June and can recommend Sancreed Cottage as the must stay place when staying in Walhalla. A beautiful location set up on the hill overlooking the main street in both directions. The cottage is set up perfectly for a long or short stay and is so comfortable. We'll be back to Walhalla in a different season to experience this incredible town again and will definitely be booking at Sancreed

Sancreed is a beautiful and comfortable cottage with fantastic views down the valley of the lovely village of Walhalla. It’s a classic miner’s home on the outside and open-plan modern on the inside, with period touches. Brian and Joanne have done a great job and have thought of everything, even down to a box of emergency food supplies. And it has to be the cleanest house we’ve stayed in. We had a lovely few days and will definitely return

We had an amazing weekend catching up with friends. Sancreed Cottage was well appointed and very comfortable for the 4 of us. Right up on the hill, the view was amazing. Thank you Sancreed Cottage, we will be back.
