We had an amazing stay at San Michele Resort! Initially, we were skeptical due to the mixed Google reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. The resort has undergone a recent makeover and has been open for public since three months, and it shows!

The people running the resort were incredibly friendly, and their hospitality was top-notch. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcome and at home. They even let us use their kitchen, which was a lovely touch and made our stay feel even more personal.

The facilities are good and well-maintained. We were a family of 4 and was given a room with 1 queen size bed and 2 single bed. Our room was spacious, clean, and warm. The resort grounds are stunning and perfect for a relaxing getaway with a lot of activities including table tennis, pool and outdoor tennis.

We also loved the warm fireplace in the lounge– a very good place to have a chat with everyone and enjoy the company of their lovely huskey Bella. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend San Michele Resort to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and comfortable place to stay. We will definitely be returning!

We booked accommodation - a bunk room to sleep 4 adults and 4 kids through an online booking agency at what we thought was a fantastic rate. On showing the details of the room to my friend online on my phone, I booked using my credit card. BIG MISTAKE! Despite FREE CANCELLATION ON MOST ROOMS clearly plastered across this website, this bunk room was THE exception. San Michelle's website revealed that our room did not make reference to the flat screen tv as promised on the booking website description of the room. We had a group with 4 children! No tv after all day skiing was not going to be great so I rang the property to double check description of the room. Graham (whose family apparently owns the property) confirmed no tv in the 8 bunk room. I requested that he cancel the room booking and refund the full charge for three nights he had already processed! "No- they are the hardest room to sell - no refunds". I tried to negotiate - could he try to sell the room and refund me if the room sold - he laughed and said no, not his problem! I suggested that the web site description did not match the description on his own site and that he had just confirmed no tv in the room. Again he says not his problem. "You come here, see the room then complain!" was his response! As if anyone would check in at a motel where you are made to feel so unwelcome and spoken to so rudely! I advised that I would be seeking a refund from the site or Fair Trading or my credit card company - surely this is illegal - selling a room where you have falsely advertised its features. "Good luck" was all he could say. He then accused us of having found a cheaper room elsewhere - not the case - and hung up. We did contact the Visitors Centre after this and booked elsewhere (and paid more for it!) and had a great time - but as for this motel - BE VERY WARY!
