Absolutely the best accommodation on the Gold Coast. The units are spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The grounds are lovely with a fantastic pool and BBQ area. The manager is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our first stay at San Chelsea so much we've returned many times and the experience is always first class

Location was perfect for us. Direct access to the beach literally across a very quiet road. I was initially concerned about being so close to the airport, but honestly I've been here a week, and there's more noise from a truck driving past than from the aircraft. Very quiet location with underground secure parking, pool and spa and lovely peaceful gardens. Shopping is an easy 5-10 min drive to Cooloongata or Tweed heads. Our apartment was huge, with 3 bedrooms, ensuite with spa, another bathroom with shower separate to the toilet, and separate laundry with your own washer and dryer. However, there's no lift, so the stairs give you your daily exercise. The bed could have been bigger, but it was comfortable. A little dated but for the price you'd
be hard pressed to do better. Fully equipped kitchen with real family size fridge and oven as well as enough seating to comfortably relax. Good views over the crashing waves from the small balcony, but I'd rather be in it. The on-site manager Peter is welcoming and happy to answer even my inane questions. I'm already planning my next stay here I've enjoyed it so much.

If you are wanting luxury, this is not the place for you. Spaciousness and quiet is more the deal. This hotel is somewhat outdated and traipsing luggage up three flights of stairs feels a bit archaic. However, the apartment suited us just fine and was quite large and bright with a view of the beach...but there were some serious downsides. Firstly, there were small issues with the apartment (blown bulb which my partner had to fix himself), broken blind etc and NO tea/coffee/sugar/salt nor shampoo etc there which we couldn't believe, we had to go buy our own. But the main issue we had was with the 'heated' pool. Come on, that is NOT a heated pool, it was freezing and the kids couldn't last for more than 10 mins in it. Even worse, the spa was also freezing. What spa is cold? Spas should be hot and bubbly. For a family with kids mid season, the pool and spa were a huge disappointment. Also although there is internet access available, it cost us $40 for the week to allow internet access and we had some trouble getting it to work. We only realized when we got there that it wasn't free.||||We did really enjoy the lorikeets coming onto our deck and jumping on the kids' hands while being fed etc. The location is also really great, right across from the beach with great bbq/parks and the surf club close by. Overall, an average place to stay, needs some updating but the pool and spa definitely needs to be heated if promised!

I was able to stay here for 10 nights, loved every moment of it. It's quiet, across from the beach, the pool and hot tub refreshing and loved the balcony. Carolyn and Rod were so nice! I had originally booked for a week but was able to extend. I highly recommend and am planning a return visit next year and will stay here.

It's all about the view let's not be mistaken. To sit on the deck with a glass of wine some quiet background music and that view on a fine day is just magic. ||||The top floor apartments however need more sun and rain protection and I totally agree with the other reviewers, the stairs are a nightmare. Especially coming up from the basement to the top floor. ||||The building and balcony need a really good scrub. And whilst being out the front is a delight, the main bedroom can get very noisy at times with the sound of the airport. Thank goodness for the curfew. ||||Bilinga is a favourite and I probably would return again to San Chelsea for a short stay.

The unit we stayed in (1) was roomy, clean, airy and very well equipped. It is across the road from the beach and has a fine view. There is a super cafe around the corner, if you can't get by without your morning fix!||We were greeted by Peter, the manager, who went out of his way to be helpful, providing us with helpful information on the area||Would highly recommend staying at San Chelsea.

Enjoyed this location on the Gold Coast, a good 30-40 minute walk into Coolangatta or a 20 minute walk to great cafes in Kirra. Apartment was spacious and well laid out. Was not very clean and some things were falling apart, however tolerable given the bargain price we paid for our stay.

Awesome try to get the middle level right in the middle of the building if you can. These are very well appointed apartments with plenty of room. The beds are ok but the best part is the view out the front to the beach, just magnificent to wake up looking right at the ocean!
