Good indoor and outdoor seating, friendly service. Can sit with your dog in the lane way area seating. Good serving sizes, as well as variety - all well cooked. Accept card payments accepted.

Delicious food and fabulous service! They really understood coeliac and were happy to add/swap things around as well as be careful in the kitchen area for me.
I had a gluten free pumpkin frittata which so soooo yummy and a GF delectable orange cake with blueberry icing. Hubby had a burger which was huge and so tasty according to him. He then followed that up with a lime cheesecake which he scoffed down.

Staff were friendly, good price (especially for a country town!), and the coffee was really nice (Merlo brand of beans). I had the eggs Benedict and their Turkish bread was lovely and thin, plenty of hollandaise and the eggs were poached perfectly! I didn't try it but I love that they went a bit different and have salami croissants available.

I think salt lane cafe is wonderful and they have a wide range of options when coming to food. the main cook is a lovely young man an is always very sweet.
the one and only thing i can complain about is their ice coffee, i tends to be very bitter, and the few times i have ordered from there, i ask for a carmel once but i tend to get given a normal one instead.
otherwise their prices are amazing and the food is great

Great little Cafe. We had breakfast and coffee. The coffee was a bit weaker than we like it. We both had the mug size so if you like your coffee strong add an extra shot.

We went in for breakfast on the 19/12/24 and ordered a soy mocha and Eggs Benny with hash brown for breakfast and it was D-Licious!!! Money well spent! You will not be disappointed!

Had a lunch break there recently and ordered a burger and coffee to eat there. The very young girl who took my order was great, no fuss service but polite and friendly. The burger was worth the wait. A thick meat patti, bacon, fried egg, slice of pineapple, slice of beetroot and salad with bbq sauce in a fresh bun. Exactly what a burger should be. The coffee was served in a big cup, hot and delicious. If passing through or staying in Charters Towers go there for lunch or morning tea. They are open from 7 to 2 Mon to Sat and 7 Tull 1 on Sunday. Eat inside(air con) or outside to enjoy fabulous food, drinks and service.

Tried other places in town for breakfast, and these guys are well above the rest. Can't comment about the coffee as I always get a milkshake. Friendly staff.
