I enjoyed my stay here! The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the great restaurants on James Street and the Brisbane River. Parking was easy too, with free street parking available just a minute’s walk away.||||The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more pleasant. I also appreciated the access to the swimming pools—it was a great way to relax after a day out.||||Would definitely stay here again for the excellent location, amenities, and welcoming atmosphere!

I recently stayed at Sage Hotel James Street and had a fantastic experience! After a last-minute flight cancellation, they were incredibly accommodating and made my check-in process seamless. Jess, who I spoke with over the phone, was especially helpful and made me feel at ease during a stressful time. ||||The hotel itself is well-maintained, comfortable, and conveniently located. Because of the wonderful service I received, it will now be my go-to place whenever I’m in Brisbane. Highly recommend! ?

Average hotel for price I thought guy would have been. More luxurious! Went for 3 nights|Good location in the Valley and nice staff. One day no housekeeping came despite we were out all day and out tag on door. |Bed was comfy and room|Was clean although a little small. Got balcony but was not private at all and pool is off site so didnt use

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and I understand how hard it is to work in certain industries, but I’m making this review because there is something extremely suspicious happening there. I don’t even know where to start. Other than the disgusting state of the place, filth everywhere, and urine soaked mattresses, the most despicable part of it all was having staff coming in your room (invited or uninvited). Thankfully, I recorded it all where the night manager kept saying she’s scared while I pointed out a couple of things that could only be described as Hostel without a vacuum cleaner. This is a racket for something. I could not get out of there any quicker and I’m so glad I recorded it. I couldn’t even call the reception, and had to call externally. I’m perplexed by any review other than 1 star, because I’m rattled about this place and what the front is. I even got advice from police while there, and scratched stuff out of the cutlery draw that I wasn’t sure what it was in there (powder). If you’ve had a similar experience let me know. Do not go there people and, if you do, record everything.

I am awaiting a refund.

8pm - 9pm I checked in on Saturday the 25th - 26th, visited my booked room and put my stuff in the apartment.

I then went and enjoyed my night out clubbing only to find out that at 4pm or so that the aircon doesn’t work and the room was extremely hot. I went downstairs and called the reception, they offered me another room at 5:20am and I politely declined.

Understand that this isn’t a user error and in fact it’s an unfortunate circumstance that the aircon was broken, I believe this is fair grounds for a refund.

You should have checked the room for faults before proceeding to sell the apartment as faulty and put me in an uncomfortable situation where now I am being forced to try and take this as my fault.

I will keep going until I get this refund. Until than, this review won’t be taken down.

Not worth the money at all. The staff were nice but the hotel and cleanliness was not!
I arrived very late as I had been travelling all day internationally, I had told the staff this prior and they acknowledged it.
I was looking forward to getting in having a nice hot shower and getting to bed, but was met with so many issues.
I walked into the room and they had given me a disability room, which was not the room I had requested or paid for.
The shower was dirty and there was limescale all over the floor.
What was worse were the sheets were dirty, there were white stains all over the throw, I didnt even want to try and imagine what they were. Absolutely disgusting.
I asked if I could move rooms but got told I wasn’t able to.
To top it all off, there was a light which didn't turn off and there was no switch for it anywhere in the room.
I was exhausted from travelling and was about to breakdown. I booked for two nights, but only stayed for one as it was 1am and couldn’t find anywhere else, otherwise I would’ve left then.
Just felt so disgusting in the room and felt so unclean when i left. Am hugely disappointed, not what I paid for when i was looking for a hotel to stay at after I got off my flight.

I needed to stay for only one night between medical appointments. This hotel really met all of my needs.

I booked a standard room, knowing that it'd be on the ground floor. All of my concerns about noise were for nothing. The room was well away from the lobby and so quiet!

I was able to set up my laptop and monitor at the desk (two power points there) and get some work done.

Actually the placement of power points ( two at desk, two at bed and two near floor), the comfy mattress, the quiet, easy control of the aircon and close parking were real highlights for me.

As I'm familiar with getting around the city, being based in James St was no problem for me. I will be back again.
