Having stayed here last time 2 years ago nothing has changed, the bed is comfortable, room is clean and the staff are friendly. My room had a great view of the racetrack and beyond. The rooms are quite affordable compared to other available hotels in the area. I will be back here in future visits.

This is one of our favourite hotels which we visit frequently and I really don’t want to leave this review but I’ll cut to the chase (no pun intended) - it is time for management to do something about the repugnant intermittent sewerage like smell coming from the bathroom toilet and drains. It has been in every single deluxe spa room we have stayed in this year, in all sorts of weather and times of year. “We can’t find the source” isn’t acceptable as this issue has been ongoing for years now and has become more severe this year - the stench fills the entire room and is sickening. ||As mentioned we are frequent guests due to visiting family in the area (stayed probably 30 times in total over the years) and overall value is quite good. When the hotel is not full we always get allocated a high floor which is appreciated. Rooms are generally clean and room heating is great even in winter. No smart TV’s. The racetrack views from level 4 and higher are good especially the rooms closer to the chase. ||Another thing to note is room service is only available 6-8pm and not at all on a Sunday which is unlike most hotels, you can’t even order a coffee during the day. It would be great to at least have a drinks menu for the day. I realise the bar and grill is open but not everyone wants to dine in or travel into town. The only option is uber/door dash/menulog which creates additional waste. ||Again I really don’t want to rate the hotel poorly but our last stay the bathroom smell was unbearable and unless something changes sadly we won’t be back.

We were staying in Bathurst for our child's sports tournament, and we decided to stay at the Rydges given that we are familiar with the name and that it wasn't far from the tournament venue. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The room is tiny, and it is so noisy and no double glazing so you can hear everything from those driving around the racetrack, the room upstairs, people walking in the corridor etc. The rooms are old, beds are super soft and uncomfortable, the shower setting barely worked and the bath setting didn't work at all. There were not enough towels and housekeepers forgot to clean our room, so when we returned to our hotel after a long day only to find it the way we left it was very disappointing. The manager on duty said he would come and make the beds and give new towels etc. and in return they took a very minute sum of money off our total bill. This is not what you would expect from the Rydges and we will definitely not be returning and I recommend to family and friends to stay in an Air BnB or similar.

We had an amazing dinner last night at Rydges Bathurst restaurant,
And the staff were fantastic warm and welcoming ,Specially Chef Abby who had chat with us and cooked our meals was great experience. We had Garlic prawns & lamb chops ,food was impeccable, delicious and gorgeously presented. The atmosphere was convivial and inviting. We certainly be back for great food and service.

Staff were great, loved being on the track, room was very cold, rooms need upgrading, view of the track was great with lots of roos running around. Great you can drive around the track also. Bed was comfy. Not a place we would visit again, but we did enjoy what time we had there.

We stayed in the king bed deluxe suite with a spa, down near the chase end of the racetrack on the 6 th floor, for a special occasion night. The views were fantastic from the full length windows, room was very clean, tidy &well appointed. The king size bed was very comfortable, good sized pillows and linen was nice on bed, sofa couch was comfy, and soft lighting . All the appointments in the kitchenette and bathroom were great and all we needed. The heater had been turned on for us prior to us arriving which was lovely, tv worked well, and the balcony was very spacious. The buffet breakfast was very comprehensive and the views of the racetrack a great bonus.Parking was easliy accesable and free. Gave one star less as we had to wait quite a while to check in ,not that that was a problem, but found the reception staff member we had to be quite impersonal, unwelcoming and didn't offer us any advice on the hotel room, its facilities, or how to get up to our room, barely speaking to us except to ask for payment, what's the booking name and "heres the key" .Not what you would expect from a 4 /5 star high chain hotel franchise. Also, on leaving the male reception man reflected the same attitude towards us that we recieved on checking in. |But in saying this , we loved the room, the views, the hotels facilities & the buffet breakfast food, so would stay here again for a special event.
