I stayed for my work Christmas Party which was nearby. I checked in online yet my room wasn't ready. I had a lovely glass of wine in the bar with excellent service and was told they'd call me when ready. It was almost 3pm (2pm check in) when I got to a room as I went to reception and chased it up. Online checkin was no advantage at all.|I ordered chocolates in the room as a treat to myself and as I was leaving for my party around 4.30pm choc dipped strawberries arrived. Not what I wanted but no time to argue as I also expected them to be in the room already. |There's also a mysterious $10 still pending on my card a month later too.|However, fantastic bed, easy parking, i felt safe as a solo female and the staff are very friendly. |I'll definitely stay again

I had to book a hotel late at night, and they welcomed me even after midnight, which I really appreciated. The guy at reception even helped me find the entrance. This was the only hotel with a room available that night. The room was very comfortable, and I slept really well. It’s nice because you can make tea in the room, which I really appreciated!

Overall the hotel and location was great, unfortunately it wasn't until a few days later when my bank balance was in arrears that I wouldn't recommend staying with this establishment. I was double charged for the stay and when I rang the hotel they sent me through a invoice in which I noticed there was a charge for a item in the mini bar that I didn't consume , I was told there's nothing they could do on their end I will have to take it up with my financial institution.
After contacting my financial institution I was informed that the funds are waiting to be released for one of the transaction and to take it up with the hotel , after calling them back they said they will try and sort it without any apology.
Meanwhile I've been charged arrears fees from my bank as I had direct debts coming out of that account .
Never have I had such poor service from a hotel .
Would not recommend staying there and if you do ,ask for a invoice as you never know what you are being charged for upon checkout .

Hotel was quite nice and the buffet was fun. However in an emergency situation there is a lack of empathy and dirt of care from the hotel. My daughter 2.5yr fell off the bed in the hotel (not the hotels fault) and had a concussion. I rang reception for help no answer while waiting on hold to a doc on my phone. Ended up running downstairs to speak to reception as I was due to leave the hotel that day. Told the staff I had an emergency situation and there was 0 help/compassion/empathy offered. All I got was they could hold the room until 1pm otherwise I'd be charged another night. 0 offers of assistance of taxi/ambulance NO HELP whatsoever. When I said I just need to get her to a hospital they pointed in the (wrong/long) direction of the hospital and said they couldn't touch the (packed) bags in my room as it was against the policy. Luckily, she had a mild concussion and didn't need to stay over night in hospital, luckily I ran into a radiologist heading to his shift at the hospital and luckily the hospital was great AND I made it back to grab my bags before 1pm... Otherwise seriously teach your staff some compassion

Also the TV system didn't work for casting as they had recently upgraded the system and none of the staff knew about it. Which sucks when you're travelling with two small kids.

I believe this hotel could benefit from a thorough review. While the overall cleanliness is decent, I would advise against looking under the beds or using the room phones, as they are covered in a year's worth of dust and dirt. Furthermore, the TV casting function was not operational, and the television cut out approximately every ten minutes.

I spent nearly two hours at the reception regarding a piece of clothing I had forgotten in the closet. I initially informed the staff at 10 AM, and they promised to call me back. After calling again at 12 PM, I received the same assurance. I returned to the reception at 5:30 PM to remind them about my clothing, but they were still unable to assist me.

While the staff is friendly, the level of service is disappointing. I typically do not leave reviews, but my experience with what may seem like a simple issue—a forgotten piece of clothing—has compelled me to share my thoughts, especially considering the price tag attached to the missing piece of clothing.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms are very clean, modern, and the beds are extremely comfy. We ordered room service and had the beef burger which was absolutely delicious. Great location too. Would highly recommend staying here.

Nice and quiet, good to relax after working away from home. Gym is very basic. Lots of great food options nearby

Every time I stay somewhere, I always request, on checkout, to receive an email with my tax receipt. Without fail, the smiling reception attendant confirms my email address and assures me that my tax receipt is on its way.

I am an executive business traveller and stay in hotels around the price point of Rydges more frequently than I care to think about. I don't ask for much usually and mostly I check out early leaving barely a mark on the rooms I have occupied. A model guest you could say.

Unfortunately, the tax receipt is a normal and necessary feature of any business transaction in Australia. This is unfortunate because hotels do not see this as a standard feature of their business with guests. Emails with offers? Yes. Text messages with various 'important' updates prior to a routine stay? Of course! An email with a tax receipt? Almost never, and often not even after requesting one and being assured of the prompt response to my request. There is little in my relationship with hotels that annoys me more than needing my PA to chase up a receipt. She knows to add these establishments to a 'blacklist' for my company, due to poor customer relationship management.

I stayed on Thurs 14th, and paid around $240 for my room for 1 night. Room 416. Next time, another address.
