We stayed here for three nights while visiting family in the area. The checkin was lovely and we were upgraded to a superior oceanview on the top floor with a bottle of bubbly after we had mentioned our anniversary that weekend. The room was bright and airy with a lovely balcony. The views are amazing over the ocean. The pool was cold but I enjoyed a swim. It is expensive but there is little accommodation in this area so they have a captive market in someways… ||Only issue was grumpy housekeeping who were very late getting room cleaned. They didn’t do much when they did clean the room but we got the missing tea bags and soap from reception.

Excellent location and great service. Rooms reasonably comfortable but the walls are thin. I was able to hear the alarm from my neighbour’s room in the morning. I was half awake but still.

Balcony on the second floor was big with a nice view on the east side.

Breakfast was great, simple but flavourful buffet style cooked and continental breakfast. Coffee in the restaurant was great too

I have t been to this property for over 8 years and what a beautiful stay this was!||We were in a 1 bedroom apartment on level 7.||||Staff were fantastic. Check in was easy.. ||the property is themed to its location and I love that , my son loved the view from the balcony.||||Big , clean rooms with some nice comforts. ||||I would suggest pre booking you car space as it’s a small parking area. The Friday night happy hour is amazing with $5-$6 snacks and great prices on drinks.||||Amazing location and I was impressed with every aspect of this hotel. I’ll be back and for longer next time

I had a great night! The staff were really friendly and made me feel welcome. The two lovely staff members Bella and Claire assisted me throughout the night. They were knowledgeable and were able to suggest some great drinks that suited my needs.

I had a wonderful time visiting The Alley Bar. The food and drinks were great and the service was even better. Our bartenders for the night, Bella and Claire, were friendly and hospitable. They always had a smile on their faces and they were very knowledgeable in the menu items. 100% coming back.

I hate writing a bad review but I was really disappointed with my stay last weekend and think it’s important to share.|Firstly, the location is awesome. And, we are completely aware this hotel is old and even reno’s don’t take away the fact it’s still old. We knew that and didn’t expect 5 star quality. It doesn’t take much to make me happy - tidy, clean room with everything in it working, and I’m 100% happy!|So, that said, my partner and I arrived around 9pm, having flown in for 2 nights stay. It was fabulous we could check in late-I loved that!.|Then….We got in the room ….|(1) there was no body wash in the shower bottle (shampoo, conditioner, wash bottles attached to the wall). Zero wash in the bottle. (How hard would that have been to fill during cleaning?!)|So we waited for the cleaner to bring some wash, and put the TV on….it wouldn’t turn on.|My partner, being handy, did some investigating and eventually got it to work after going in behind it. (We also didn’t want to call reception again.)|We opened the balcony doors for fresh air ….and there on the ground 1 metre away was a pile of used cigarettes right in front of a deck chair. Wow. Really?|That was a pretty low start to the stay.|We let the reception know the issues the next morning and have to say they were great (great reception staff!) very sympathetic and firstly offered a room upgrade, (which we didn’t take as we were just there for one more night) and later the manager left us a bottle of wine and letter of apology in our room. That was really good service and it’s a pity the cleaning staff let down this hotel.|Now, body wash missing and cigarette butts isn’t huge for most people I know, but this coupled with the fact that the cleaning lady who came in midday (while we watched tv) did what can only be described as a surface wipe/mop of the bathroom floor and bench, and change of towels.|In the bottom corners of the shower was grime build-up that outlived our 2 night stay! It literally took me just 1 minute to use tissues to wipe the 4 corners of the showers and remove the slimy gunk (that stuff you know you can accidentally skid on if you put your foot wrong on the shower floor!). It hasn’t been properly cleaned before we arrived and I doubt it was going to be after. Yuck. Photos included here.|We did tell the manager at check out, and again, he was very sympathetic and apologetic. (He’s the reason we gave 3 stars for service not 1 star)|I really hope you don’t get the same experience, as there isn’t a better location in Cronulla to stay - stunning beach!

I love the service at Rydges, Cronulla. Superb views and ambience. I have coffee with friends every morning during the week in the buffet bar section. The coffee and food is always great and served with a smile. I'd like to make special mention of Jess and Kate, who always remember my order and are super friendly.

Great location and nice water view from the room. Good hospitality! We went over the weekend and got an upgraded ocean view room which was spacious and comfy. The location has got lot of food options around the place. The beach strip allows a good walking trail and some great views as well
