When we arrived, we was greeted by a colony of ants going in/out of the bin (which hadn’t been emptied), across the cooker and into a hole in the wall. Had to go get our own ant spray to deal with the problem. Thankfully a psyclone meant we checked out early.

Perfect place to stay for groups. Great location and facilities! Shopping centre really close, just 4 min walk. Peaceful and quiet area. Nice pool and barbeque place. Very kind and warm hospitality. We had a plast in there 🙂

I was very impressed with their accommodation. A beautiful old house that makes you feel at home, as did the staff. Huge rooms, very clean, a comfortable bed and nicely furnished. Extremely quiet and "restful" and in a fantastic position. Very well priced. I recently stayed at a backpackers and for the same rate, had a room with nothing but an uncomfortable bed and 3 hooks on the wall. Not even a bedside table. Highly recommended, will definitely be staying there again.

I can highly recommend staying here. It is not a hotel, it is a basic guest house with nice management and good services (coin operated laundry on premise, good kitchen, computer). Great common areas, and I was super lucky to get a HUGE room, with a veranda (!?). ||Stay here if you want a calm, safe, cheap place to stay. Do not stay here if you want hotel standard suites straight on the beach.||This is a place with personality, so it suited me. Sitting on the porch when the tropical rain came down all around, like sitting in a house inside a shower - great experience, great memory.

Location was okay, a block from the mall and about 1 km from the main street of Cairns. Plenty to do nearby during the day, at night the area is quiet. Rooms were nice with AC and fans. Only thing was the shared bathroom and toilet and made this place more of a hostel than an bed and breakfast.

I can’t tell how much I loved this place! If you’re having a problem Deciding I’d say go for it! Wifi is fast, AC works well, the house has a cosy and welcoming vibe. It almost feels like home. It also has a cute little pool to relax and chill in. I really love my stay here. This is my first night and I’m already loving it so much! The owners are fast to reply and help. It’s very conveniently located near the cairns city. Definitely would come back here in my next visit!

Excellent location which is just opposite to the train station and shopping center! 2 minutes walking distance to jetty. Very convenient for cooking. The reason that I didn’t give 5 stars is because not feeling welcoming at all. There was a lady cleans up the accommodation everyday but never greet to us and no smiles. But she did greet to some “white” guests. Feeling so bad at this. Hope can be improved.

It's about 25 minutes from CBD and depending on the guests staying when you stay, it could be pleasant or not so pleasant. We had a few families stay the same time we were there, so there was some yelling from kids and crying. The bathrooms were fairly clean. The lounge area was nice and the open air kitchen. The train station that takes you to Kuranda is also close by and the Cairn Central mall is only a ten minute walk. Cam was very pleasant and his father who takes care of the linens. If you're looking for a bare bones place to lay your head, this place will do.
