My wife and I had stayed at Ruffles for our anniversary and it was a great stay. We had stayed at the pool villa which had amazing view. The check in at arrival was very professional and in person and we felt very welcomed. The spa treatment was great. The restaurant is a MUST try. The food was presented beautifully and the flavour was great. We had also found homemade cake and port in our room after dinner. It was a very nice touch. Every single staff we met in the property was very friendly and welcoming. A big THANK YOU to Ruffles team for a wonderful anniversary.

Overall an amazing and relaxing experience.

The good and great...
The facilities including room, restaurant and spa were amazing.
We had the treehouse villa package through Luxury Escapes.
The chef at the restaurant is fantastic and prepared a vegetarian meal different from the menu on request which was amazing.
Service at the restaurant was very good.
We had the couples treatment at the day spa which we thoroughly enjoyed. My partner's massage was the best he'd had (and he's a qualified massage therapist so that says a lot). My massage was good, the highlight however was the facial and hair treatment.

Areas for improvement...
The only improvement needed would be that the reception area is too small (more like a home office). It needs to be upgraded to reflect the "5 stars" that it claims to be. It doesn't give a great first impression and neither did the reception staff.

We went there over the weekends to stay away from busy city. This gorgeous place is located on Tamborine mountain so it only took us 20mins to drive there. They have really good view up high that you can actually see Gold Coast buildings and everything up high. The food there are high standards and the service were very nice. Both my husband and I loved there. Definitely going there again soon! Strongly recommended for people who want to have a quite and private time away from busy working!

Beautiful location, the perfect place to retreat to for a few days of R&R. Loved the delicious and beautifully presented breakfasts with a spectacular view. Even though it was autumn, I took full advantage of the tree house plunge pool which would be so refreshing on a warm summer's day. The dual balconies provide two lovely spaces in which to relax, read, and nap. Really enjoyed the spectacular spa/bath tub and the view across the pool and through the trees. The only thing missing was a little kitchen - it would have been lovely to be able to prepare our own lunches or dinners to avoid going out and just enjoy the sanctuary.

Our mini honeymoon was amazing! The staff and view was excellent. It felt like we were the only ones staying there. The attention to detail was incredible. The room was absolutely beautiful and the food was outstanding. Thank you so much for making our experience so special.

A beautiful present from my partner for my 50th birthday, we arrived on a lovely afternoon just before a storm rolled in so we got all aspects of this mountain retreat, a most beautiful room awaited us very clean and romantic well appointed and decorated comfortable bed and glorious bathroom only uncomfy thing really was the lounge was a bit hard, the staff were utterly awesome so lovely and could not be more accommodating Wendy the manager was a delight, Rochelle at reception superb, beautician Rosalea also a delight. Mitchell our barman lovely and Mariano our Matre D a credit to them. All in all a wonderful experience and would happily go back anytime, the Vue 175 restaurant superb, meals delicious breakfast superb.

Checked in for my best friend's wedding over the weekend. (6-8 October) The location is spectacular and the rooms are very clean but the service is extremely poor.

The management is a big cheat. Not capable of handling a crowd of 40. Not sure why they market/advertise the location for events like weddings.

For a group of 40 there was only one cook. Half the food that was agreed upon, didn't even show up on the buffet as the kitchen was extremely understaffed. Salads were limited and not getting replenished.

Such a shame! And the management without agreeing with the groom and the bride, charged them a premium on the half delivered BBQ.

I wouldn't advice anyone in groups to make event bookings here.

My husband and I were looking forward to our stay here for our belated wedding anniversary. We had a Treehouse Villa with a plunge pool. From the moment we entered our room it was a disappointment. The room was dirty and dusty with cobwebs and dead insects everywhere. The spa bath was mouldy and in need of a really good clean. The plunge pool had dead leaves on the bottom of it and green slime in the pool steps and too cold to swim in. There was no phone in our room to contact reception to inform them of our concerns. The restaurant has amazing views and the food is lovely, but limited selection and pricey. Restaurant staff are friendly and dinner service was excellent. Sadly the accomodation facilities don’t warrant the 5 star rating.
