By far the best place to stay in Gympie, very clean, great value, secure and quiet rooms with awesome staff that are caring and kind.
There are laundry facilities, gym, lounge and a kitchen for guests in the hotel!
The building has an old world charm which is quite romantic.
Centrally located on the main street (Mary St) with several different food places and the Goldfields plaza within a blocks radius as well as a nice park.
A combination that can't be beat.

Was looking for somewhere to stay on my way up the coast and was very happy to find this place. The single room was a good price and nicely done out with a desk, comfy chair, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, plates, mug, glasses etc. Room was beautifully clean and comfortable. A good place to spend a night. Nice to get a good free WiFi service in a hotel too. Only complaints were the high tech locking system to get back into the hotel after I went out for food. I couldn’t make the code work. Oh and I couldn’t get the TV in my room to work either. Reverse Cycle Air conditioner was nice on a cool winter Queensland night though.

BIG SHOUT OUT to Amber & Andrew for being an integral part of setting up my 60th birthday 🥳 of what was the Royal Hotel FIRST event in their newly re built & refurbished downstairs venue✅️
They absolutely were professional whilst going above and beyond🎉 in making sure it all went off without a hitch.💃
N.b the venue was formerly a club before the massive floods over 2 yrs ago reaching the highest level in 💯yrs
Whilst its no longer a pub/ resturant style hotel ..its now a grande accommodation hotel.⛪️ where you can hold your special event in a beautiful intimate area built for live music & have guests stay all in the one place with loads parking.🚗.

Great modern, fresh, clean & spacious rooms..all reasonably priced...relaxing area to lounge around, hotel gym 🏋‍♀️....central for a nice walk in Memorial parklands or up gorgoues iconic Mary St for loads options to have a drink 🍺 snack 🍤🧁 or outstanding meal 🥗

NO DOUBT its Gympies future for servicing all our special events whilst being in the heart of central Gympie ...THANK YOU⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Super helpful and friendly staff. The food was amazing and good value. The rooms were well maintained and perfect for our 2 night stay with my family of 4. The rooms were well insulated/sound proof so we all had a good nights sleep. The rooms were spacious and recently renovated. Definitely recommend staying here.

Secure rooms and secure off-street parking, locked up at night Beds were extremely comfortable and the shower hot and strong. Everything was scrupulously clean. Be aware there are stairs to climb to the room. We did not dine in at the restaurant but it gets good reviews so we certainly will next time.

Small, but clean rooms, relatively expensive drinks, closes very early.

Good staff and quite decent meals.

Annoying teens on bikes and sad long-term patrons totally kill the atmosphere.

No smoking area.

Very clean and well-run kitchen from appearances.

We went for dinner with a small group of us - all of the meals were a very generous serving - the salad that came with the meal was ordinary but lots of it - would however recommend the vegetable option a better choice and a good variety. The barramundi and 200g steak at $20 were very good value and quality. Good service and really good presentation. Would go again.

Stayed 3 nights at the Royal Hotel Gympie with our family of four. Room was newly renovated, comfortable, clean and spacious. Had a well-sized ensuite. Kids loved the indoor playground. The owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend!!
