Wow, you know it's cheap when the Air-conditioning is on a timer... Tight owner. Food ordinary, beer fridge on the least coolest setting. Not a proper cold beer in sight... Looking at early reviews, it's clear the place has gone to the pack... Cost cutting at its best...Stay Clear.. After staying in Birdsville accommodation, this place is a dump...Buyer / Traveller be aware....Now try and sleep with an AC that cuts out every two hours on a 40 degree day...OUCH

What a little gem, met a few of the locals & the girls that worked there & they were so accommodating. Jim Smith the owner since 1971 was such a lovely man, shared so much history on the area & the pub itself. Perfect just the way it is.

Whenever travelling outback Australia, the local Pub (hotel) is always a must visit. They share so much history, very welcoming hospitality. Surprisingly, everyone has their own unique characters that should not be missed.

The pub was the hub of the town great meals, and friendly locals.|We stayed at caravan park across the road from the road house. Very good location. We stayed 4 nights. We walked up to the pub a couple of nights for dinner and got to chafe to locals. Met a lovely fella Geoff he was a camel trainer. I met his camels and got to go for drive with him and his camel - just very lucky to have that happen. He commended us for out patronage of eating at the pub. The road house was very well stocked with all the basic stores you might to pick up. The staff very friendly and nice brekky roll the morning we were leaving.|Bedourie camel and pig races.|What brilliant day. Our favourite was the pig races and huge crowed pleaser. We got there early and got a good spot at the camel race course placing our fold up chair to keep our spot. The bar was run well, they had 2 bookies and plenty of food venders. The icecream vender was the most popular you wait 30 minutes on the que but it was worth the wait. Our adult son went in the damper camp oven compition that was fun and was available for adults and children 4 different heats. |It was certainly a great family day and lots of happy and chatty friendly people. I commend the organisers on this event, well organised for the huge crowds attending and descending g on the tiny township.|Bedourie Artesian spa|We stopped at the caravan park to try and get a site for our son but the rule was "first in gets the site" but they did tell us about the Artesian spa. We paid $10 for the swipe card which we could use as often as we wanted during our stay. When we did get there it was totally worth the visit. We went early in the day which was good because it was very cool weather which made it so nice to slide into the spa warming us up but also great to have a long soak they recommend no longer than 15 minutes soaking in the spa! I was told to drop the card back to the visitors centre which I did. The tourist centre is worth a visit to I purchased a couple of momentous and of course information of the area - the camp oven was popular. The staff were very friendly.

Very average meal. Best part was the vegetables. The T-bone steak was a great size but overcooked and very dry. I could have done better from what I had my caravan frig. ( In retrospect, I should have).
A pity as we were happy to support local business.
I know we are in the middle of nowhere but if you cannot provide then don't try.

What a great old pub, still all original apart from the roof. The staff are very friendly & always on for a chat. We stayed at the hotel, great rooms, clean & tidy & beds comfortable. We also had dinner at the hotel, very nice meals, really big. The owner of the hotel came out & played his guitar & sang a few songs, what a great guy. We’ve stayed here before & we would stay again. Would recommend a stop even just passing through or staying the night, the hotel is great

I was so disappointed in this pub. It's a lovely place in the best town with incredible potential. No beer on tap. Choice of drinks only mid strength beer and a couple of other drinks. Very few people here the Roadhouse down the road was so much better had beer on tap and live music. Very friendly locals. But this is the town's historic pub a shame.

Stayed in a motel room which we found quite spacious and clean, the room has all the usual items coffee tea air and undercover parking, had a couple drinks out the front and just a short walk to the hot spa and the tourist office which has wifi.
The pub had sold out of merchandise also,we ate elsewhere.
